"Vecna, he's not just a physical monster, he tries to get inside your head," Carrie breathed. "What do you mean?" Steve questioned. "He showed me things, said things, things that weren't true," Carrie didn't want to tell the boys what Vecna had really said. "Is that it? What did he show you?" Nancy questioned. "We need some details if we're gonna defeat him," Robin smiled reassuringly. Carrie filled with her fingers. "Whatever it was Carrie, its okay," Eddie spoke softly. Carrie cleared her throat, "It was you," she spoke to Eddie, "And you," she looked to Steve, "And then eventually you," she looked up at Nancy. "He told me I was greedy and I had to choose, Eddie or Steve," Carrie spoke nervously, both men looked more awkward by the second. "He told me he killed Chrissy for me," she swallowed hard. "What?" Eddie questioned. "I swear, I had nothing to do with it, he- he just said," Carrie spoke, her eyes beginning to water. "He said, she was competition, for me," she looked up at Eddie and he understand what she meant. "Well, what about Nance?" Steve asked. Carrie looked up at Nancy who had already worked out what she meant. "If you'd of picked Steve, he'd of killed me," Nancy spoke. Carrie nodded. "If I picked Steve, he'd kill Eddie and Nancy. If I picked Eddie, he killed Steve," she breathed. "Yet, you're all here," Robin pointed out. "I heard the guitar, he screamed at me to choose but I some how knew that it was the guitar that was real and not his visions," Carrie wiped her eyes and smiled. "You all saved me," she looked at Eddie as she spoke.
"Did you find the guns?" Carrie questioned. Nancy went into her wardrobe, coming out empty handed. "They're not here," she looked confused. "Erm Nance," Steve looked at a stack of flashcards on the desk. Nancys face dropped in realisation. "They're not here, because I haven't put them there yet," she spoke slow. Everyone but Steve looked confused. "Those flashcards, they're the ones Steve helped me do, meaning we're in the past," she attempted to explain. "So no guns, what now?" Eddie asked. Nancy started at a lamp in the corner. "Nancy?" Carrie asked. Nancy headed downstairs. "Joyce communicated through the lights," she spoke, Steve nodded. Steve looked around, shining his torch around before landing on something. The kitchen light appeared to be sparkling, glowing almost. The group swarmed around it, it was then they began to hear a noise. Carrie recognised it instantly. "Dustin," she gasped. "What?" Eddie asked. "Dustin! I can hear Dustin," she smiled. The group began to listen, all gasping with shock when they heard their little friend speaking from somewhere. Nancy continued to stare up at the lamp, reaching her hand up, touching the orbs around it. The rest of the group followed, each of them touching the glowing particles. "It kinda feels good," Steve smiled, everyone side eyed him, confused. "We can use this to communicate," Nancy spoke. "Does anyone know morse code?" she questioned, hopeful. Unfortunately no one spoke. After a short silence Eddie spoke, "Like SOS? Does SOS count?" he asked gormlessly, "is that good?" he asked. Robin rolled her eyes, Nancy looked at him with a look of amusement. Carrie smiled, "that's good," she smiled at him, he turned to face her smiling, proud of himself before beginning to tap SOS into the glow. The group waited in anticipation, praying that Dustin had got their message. "Are you guys seeing this?" they heard Dustin shout, the group smiled, unbelievable. Nancy ran her hands across the glow once more. "Try it now!" Dustin shouted. Nancy ran her hand across the orbs, writing 'hi'. "That worked!" Dustin could be heard shouting. The group buzzed. "Oh my god yes," Carrie smiled. "Yes! HI!" Eddie shouted in excitement. Nancy next began to write 'STUCK'. "Yes! We are!" Steve spoke. "Can you get back through water gate?" Dustin asked. "What the hell is Watergate?" Steve asked. "Ha, because its a gate in water, that's good Dusty," Carrie smiled to herself, thinking of her brother. Nancy wrote that it was 'GUARDED'. "Perfect," Steve smiled, Eddie began to clap. Dustin began to tell them how theirs a gate at every murder site, they were confused, writing a question mark. "Oh! Wait!" Carrie spoke. "You, your house, your trailer," she pointed to Eddie, the group looked confused. "Jackson died on the lake, so there was a gate, Chrissy died at your trailer so hopefully..." she trailed off. "Genius siblings," Robin smiled. "How many times do I have to be right on the money before you trust me!" Dustin shouted. "He's got to get his ego in check," Steve shook his head. "It's his tone right," Eddie added, getting a nudge from Carrie. "How fars your trailer?" Nancy asked. "Seven miles, Eddie replied. "I get your house is like frozen in time and shit but you still had bikes right?" Robin smiled, raising her eyebrows.
"Ill just go erm, sort my hands out, then we can get our bike on," Eddie spoke awkwardly, getting up and walking to the bathroom. Carrie stood up, getting ready to leave when Steve spoke. "Hey, can I borrow you?" he spoke, pulling her to one side. "Hey," she smiled. "I just wanted to let you know, you dont need to choose, I dont want there to be any awkward thing between everyone but-" Steve began. "Steve-" she tried to stop him but he had already started. "I dont want you to pick me," Steve blurted out, "Sorry, I didn't mean to shout that in your face," he paused. "It's not in some heroic, selfless way either," he spoke, she looked confused. "Look, Carrie, I'm sorry, if it weren't for Eddie, you'd be dead and I know you're gonna rant that you should be the one who decides but if it weren't for him I think I'd of broken your heart a second time. I dont ever want to put you through all that shit again," he spoke quickly. "Steve-" Carrie tried. "I'm in love with Nancy, I'm sorry if you did want to pick me but-" this time she interrupted him, "Steve!" he finally shut up, "I'm sorry too, but since I met him, it's always been Eddie," she smiled shyly. Steve let out a sigh of relief. "Oh thank god, Dustin said he'd kill me if I hurt you again," Steve smiled. "Steve, you know she's still with Jonathon right?" they looked at Nancy who was busy looking for flash lights. "She's been with him the whole time," he shrugged shaking his head. "Your Prince awaits, m'lady," Steve motioned to the bathroom. "It's not cool when you do it," Carrie smiled, scrunching her nose up, walking towards the bathroom.
"Hey," she pushed open the door to see Eddie fumbling with bandages. "Hello," he smiled. She took the bandages from him, putting them on the sink before taking out the plasters. "Here," she took each of his fingers, wrapping a cushioned plaster around them. Eddie watched as she carefully patched him up. She looked up, making eye contact as she held his hand in hers. "Done," she spoke slowly. "I, erm, I dont wanna be awkward," he coughed, removing his hand, "And I dont wanna be like Vecna or anything but erm, I really fucking like you Carrie, so if you're gonna choose Steve, that's fine, really but can you do it soon so we dont have momently like this, where I fall for you even fucking deeper," he breathed, glad to of got it out there. "I dont wanna pressure you but-" she cut him off. "Hmm, that depends, do I get one of these shirts?" she questioned, stepping forward, tugging on his Hellfire shirt, "oh absolutely," he smirked. Their bodies were inches away. "You can have this one, you can have them all," he put his hands on her waist. "Well, in that case, I choose you dungeon master Eddie Munson," she giggled. "Finally," he breathed, cupping his hand under her arse, picking her up as her legs wrapped around his waist. Their lips collided together, moving Asif they'd been kissing for years. He deepened the kiss, his tongue delving into her mouth. When they finally parted they were as hot and as turned on as each other. Eddie placed Carrie back on the floor. "Oh shit," he breathed. "Now, lets go save the world?" she smiled. "I can't walk out there yet," he panicked. Carrie had already turned to the door but turned back, rolling her eyes, "oh come on, it can't-" she stopped when she saw just how big of a bulge he would have to hide from the rest of the group. "Think about your grandma," she laughed and winked, opening the door. "Carrie! I hate you!" he groaned. "You love me," she laughed. "Yeah, that's the problem," he whispered as he adjusted himself in his jeans.
"I haven't cycled in a year, that's being generous," Carrie rolled her eyes as she got onto the two wheeled machine. "Yeah me neither," Eddie grunted. "Seriously?" Steve questioned. "It's hard to ride in boots," Carrie explained. Steve looked to Eddie for a response, "Helmet hair duh," Eddie explained. Steve just shook his head at the pair. "It's not that far, right Eddie," Robin spoke. Eddie nodded his head. "By the way, it may not been the cleanest of places, I mean I didn't exactly have time to clean between hellfire club and being a runaway, I've got quite a busy schedule," he smiled awkwardly. Carrie smiled back to him. The group set off with Eddie and Carrie a second behind. "I'm excited to see your bedroom," Carrie smiled. "I'm excited to have you in my bedroom," Eddie replied with a wink.
