The group arrived at what seemed like some empty field. At least no one could see them here. They poured out of the van. "Lets make some Vecna killing weapons?" Steve clapped his hands. Erica and Lucas sat making large weapons, sticks with blades on the end. Nancy, Max and Carrie began making adjustments to a shot gun. Steve and Robin were making molatovs while Dustin and Eddie created shields with nails through.

"About, erm, earlier Nance, I'm sorry I snapped at you," Carrie looked at Nancy who had put down the saw to pay attention to Carrie. "Our mum, she doesn't have anyone else, I dont know what she'd do if she lost Dustin," Carrie looked to her brother who was playing around with Eddie. "It was wrong of me to snap," Carrie gave a weak smile, hoping Nancy wouldn't hold her protectiveness against her. "I get it, I got involved in this whole thing to protect Mike, I'm so glad he's not here, but I'm also terrified that he's not," Nancy smiled genuinely. "But these kids, they can really hold their own," Nancy smiled, nudging Max. Carrie returned the smile.

"Dude, my sister though," Dustin moaned as he hammered another nail into the bin lid. "I didn't do it on purpose," Eddie shrugged. "She's special," Eddie looked over at his girl, watching as she helped Nancy with a gun. "Yeah, specially my sister," Dustin hammered harder. "I'm sorry," Eddie paused, "that she's your sister, I'm not sorry for loving her," the words fell from his mouth before he realised what he'd said. "You love her?" Dustin quickly picked up on Eddies word choice. Eddie looked at Carrie once more before nodding and smiling. "I uh haven't told her that," he shook his head. "Since we could all die, I think you should," Dustin laughed at his friend. "No, she won't be dying, I'd never let that happen," Eddie looked to Dustin, his face serious, something Dustin hadn't seen before. "I guess, if I had to pick anyone for her, Eddie the banished, you wouldn't be a bad choice," Dustin smiled. "Thanks man," Eddie returned the smile, brandishing his shield. "Oh yeah, its deadly, but reliable," Eddie could see Dustin beaming at him as he threw around the make shift shield. "There will be no more retreating from Eddie the banished," Eddie caught Carrie eye as she looked at him, he winked in her direction. "You ready for bat-tle" Dustin giggled. "Get it B-A-T," he continued smiling, "I thought that was a good one-" he was cut off by Eddie tackling him. They rolled around, tackling each other until Eddie paused. "Never change, Dustin Henderson, promise me?" he smiled at his younger friend. "Wasn't planning on it," Dustin replied. They smiled and laughed at each other for a few more moments. "Hey Sinclairs, how are those spears coming along?" Eddie shouted. earning a thumbs up from Lucas. "And the guns?" he shouted towards the girls. Carrie walked towards Eddie and Dustin, "lets just say, she's definitely not going to miss," they looked towards Nancy who was practising her aim. "Dustin is all set to be our best man," Eddie smiled, throwing his arm around Carrie, she put her hand onto his chest. "Oh absolutely not," Carrie smiled, shaking her head. "I actually have my speech ready," Dustin laughed.

The rest of the group, excluding Steve, Robin and Nancy, joined in with Dustin and Eddies messing around, prating using their weapons. "We should get going," Steve shouted to the group. Everyone seemed to take a big deep breath as they got back into the camper van. There was a tense atmosphere, which was to be expected when they were about to take on a mind entering monster. Carrie sat with Dustin, holding Eddies hand. "Hey," she got her brothers attention. "No doing something stupid," she gave him a hopeful smile. "Only if you dont do something stupider," he smiled back. "Never," she pulled him in for a hug.

The Campervan came to a stop, Max, Lucas and Erica jumped out. "Are you sure you want to do this Max, we could find another way," Carrie asked. "It's okay," Max nodded, fear was still in her eyes. Carrie nodded back, shutting the camper van door. She watched from the window as they walked into Viktor Creels house.

It was beginning to get dark by the time the rest of the group reached their destination. "Okay, I wanna run through it one more time," Nancy spoke, going through the plan with the group. "No one deviates from the plan, no matter what, got it?" Nancy asked, earning a quick 'got it' from the group. Everyone picked up their weapons before leaving the van and walking through the woods to Eddies trailer. When they entered the trailer they got right too it. "Be careful," Dustin spoke to Steve who was about to climb into the upside down. "Thanks buddy, here goes nothing," he spoke as he began climbing the tide bedsheets. Steve stuck the landing into the upside down, seemingly waiting for applause. Robin looked at Carrie as she rolled her eyes. Steve pulled the mattress over, ready for everyone else to join him. And that they did, everyone flopped onto the mattress one by one. Everyone walked out of the trailer, trying their best to look confident in their plan. Before splitting up Steve stopped. "Hey guys listen," he looked at Eddie, Carrie and Dustin, "If things start to go South, at all, abort. Dont try to be cute or a hero or something, and please," he looked at Eddie now, "make sure she gets out," he motioned too Carrie. "Look at us, we are not heroes," Eddie smiled, holding onto Carries hand and squeezing it tightly. Steve nodded, turning to walk away. "Steve!" Carrie shouted, "be safe, all of you," she smiled. Steve nodded again. "And Steve, make him pay," Eddie nodded. Steve and Eddie gave each other a weird, manly nod before going separate ways.

The three of them stayed stood for a while. "Now for the fun part," Eddie nudged Dustin, still holding Carries hand as they walked into a trailer. Dustins face lit up when he saw what Eddie came in for. "Jesus Christ, it's like she was destined for an alternate dimension," he walked forward, leaving Dustin and Carrie stood behind him as he took his guitar off the wall. He was right, it looked glorious, seemingly the only thing without vines wrapped around it. Eddies hands wrapped around the neck of it and then the base. His face smirking as he turned to face the two.

"Are you two ready for the most metal concert in the history of the world?" he smiled. "Is that a rhetorical question?" Dustin replied. Eddie put the strap of the guitar over his shoulders before swinging it around his back. "Lets do it!"
