"Are you sure that goes… there?" I asked, out of breath.
"Absolutely sure" Shooter replied smugly.
I felt my body tense up. So close. Will it even fit? All my thoughts left my body when...
CLICK
With the click of a button the odd amulet fit into a statue, unlocking the secret boss.
"YES!" I yelled in excitement. We've been trying to get this level for hours now.
"HELL YEAH!" Shooter replied with the exact same excitement. I was finally done reading articles and running around trying to find out how to unlock the level.
"God I could kiss you right now." I said in the heat of the moment. Then I realized what I said. Shooter was looking at me, trying not to laugh as my face lit up multiple shades af pink.
"I-I didn't- I me- I meant-" I tried to explain myself.
"Come here." Shooter laughed. I half walked over to him, looking down from embarrassment. I felt his hand just below my chin.
"You can look up, it was just a heat of the moment comment." He said quietly. As soon as I looked up, his lips had captured mine. It wasn't anything special, to him. There was no disco, just panic. His lips were soft, almost loving. The kiss itself was light, careful. After almost a minute, Shooter had pulled away, a kind smile graced his face.
"I'll still take up on that offer though." He said in a calm manner. I almost passed out then and there. I was completely silent before I just fell onto him. He opened his arms in shock, then just hugged my half conscious body.
"Too much?" He asked. All I did was shake my head. It wasn't too much, I was just not expecting that. He carefully laced his hand in my newly cut hair, and just left it there. It was comforting. I just laid there as Shooter held me. This is one hundred percent platonic! Friends kiss eachother! Friends most definitely cuddle and stuff! This is just bros being bros!
"This is just bros being bros right?" I asked a bit hesitantly. He let out a small laugh as he kissed my head.
"It's whatever you think it is Jim." He said, now tracing circles on my back. I smiled as I moved closer to him.
"Then this isn't just platonic, Max." I replied. He smiled as I sat up a bit to meet his eyes. This was it. Now or never. I leaned in, slightly closing my eyes. He had met me halfway, connecting our lips. If heaven exists on this hellish planet, it's right here.
Suddenly, we heard a loud bang followed by a 'Game Over'.
"Well. Looks like we gotta do all of that again." Shooter said.
"Noooo."

Every few chapters, I'll add a half chapter that may or may not be Canon. This is up to you, as the reader. I will also have these stocked up for when I write the 6000 word season finals. So bonus chapters are up to you. Canon or not.
