A summer's day can leave any dark being deflated, everyone knows that. Spades knew, and so did Diamonds. I guess it's just me for now, beneath this damn tree.
Trying to decipher Spade's work.
All of it is so cluttered and mixed up. It's like it never wanted anyone to know, or even to work on it. Perhaps that's what it is. Perhaps that stupid messy-haired bastard in stripper boots just wanted to leave us all puzzled, or even worse.
It knew it was going to get killed.
"Lady... Um..."
"Card. Just call me card."
I stared at the man who'd become something of an assistant to me, then began to speak again.
"Do you think Spades actually knew what it was doing? I mean, all of these stories are so... Cluttered and inconsistent. Half of them are completely nonsense and the other half barely have a storyline? How did people ever enjoy this?!"
I ended up yelling that last part, which caused my 'assistant' to flinch. I muttered out a quick apology, then began to read through the documents in front of me.
"Maybe, it just doesn't make sense to you? I mean, you're not Spades. You're something totally different."
He gave me a quick mask bump as he sat down beside me. I couldn't help but wish these masks would disappear, so I could truly kiss him.
"Why not just work with a story that makes sense to you? I mean, there are about 3 of them right?"
He asked. I re-counted each story and realized how confusing Spades really was.
"There are 5 stories. Insomniac Hell, Bite n Fright, No Strings Attached, Shadow legion and one without a name. The only one that makes sense to me is No Strings Attached."
He stared at me in shock, then soon regained his composure.
"So, update the first chapter to make it longer, then publish it?"
"I like the way you think."

Hello. I'm sure you don't know me, or you knew Spades or 'Possum' so let me enlighten you. I am the new Card. Nothing more and nothing less.
Now Spades left a story called 'No Strings Attached' and I want to know if you'd like to read it. I can deal with its horrendously written beginning, and make it readable. So please, tell me if you'd like to read it.
