The annoying noise of my alarm clock woke me up at half past two in the morning. Josh had fallen asleep in my bed with me but he was already in his pyjamas so I carefully picked him up along with his blanket and teddy.

I was already dressed in yoga trousers and an oversized hoodie so I didn't need to get changed. I took Josh to the car and strapped him in before locking the door and starting the car.

20 minutes later and we were at the airport. The drive was very quiet and I had to stop for coffee because I didn't realise how tired I actually was. I carried Josh into the airport and sat down on the chairs waiting for my grandma to come out when she did I rand to her and hugged her as tight as possible.

"I missed you so much" I tell her once I let go

"I can't believe how grown up you look now" she wiped a tear away while smiling

"Josh was so excited to see you but I think it's best if we let him sleep" I tell her

"Of course i can talk to him in a few hours anyway" she said as we made our way towards the exit

"How far away is your flat?" She asked

"Flat? I live in a house grandma haha anyway it's around 20 minutes away" I didn't tell anyone about my lifestyle out here. I don't know why I just don't want people to think I'm bragging or something

"you have a house and this car? I expected to be living in a cramps apartment and living off pot noodles" she joked

"I'm a parent now I can't live like that anymore" I laugh strapping Josh back in making sure he is covered by his blanket and then putting the suitcases in the boot.

"You have only been gone a few months and you have already grown up so much" she says putting a hand on her heart

We were driving through my neighbourhood when my grandma broke the silence that had fallen over us "Imagine living in one of these houses, they are amazing!" Just as the words leave her mouth I turn into where my gates are and open them using the control in my car.

"What are you doing?" She asked confused

"Welcome to my home grandma" I park next to my Audi and the gates have closed again.

"Bloody hell" I hear her say looking up at the house "how did you-"

"Don't worry about it" I cut her off "well it's half three so I'm going to bed but if your not tired because it would be like lunch time back in the UK then you can do whatever you want but I will show you your room before I go" I quickly take Josh up to his room and tuck him in.

I take my grandmas suitcases and lead her to her room which is on the ground floor so she doesn't need to worry about the stairs. "is this alright for you?" I ask putting he suitcases at the end of the bed

"This is more than alright Ava p" she says kissing my cheek

"Goodnight grandma" and with that I'm back in my big bed and drifting off to sleep.
