Chapter 18: Happy Birthday Z

(Zoey's POV)

It was dark. I couldn't hear anything. I only could feel like I was falling, but never hitting ground. Then, in an instance, I stopped. It didn't feel like I hit ground, but I wasn't falling anymore. In front of me I could see Trinity and Zack. They were standing in front of someone who had a black cloak on which covered their whole body including their face. Trinity was holding her sword and burst into flames. Zack was standing there with his dagger in a fighting stance. The man who was standing in front of Trinity and Zack lifted their hand to take their hood off. The man under the hood was Tyler.

"I knew it!" Trinity screamed. Tyler laughed.

"Where is Zoey!?" Trinity was scary geez.

"Why would I tell you that? It would ruin the fun." Is this really the same Tyler from before?

"Tell me before I kill you!" Trinity looked as if she was about to leap and cut his head off.

"If you killed me then you wouldn't be able to find Zoey. I am the only one alive that knows where she is after all."

"Then we'll just have to torture you until you tell us." Zack yelled.

"Man yall are no fun at all." Tyler frowned.

Tyler then laughed and ran toward Trinity and his nails grew very long and sharp. When he reached Trinity he cut her throat with his nails leaving her holding her throat on the ground with blood surrounding her.

I woke up and screamed. I was sweating like crazy. Next thing I knew Trinity was next to me.

"What's wrong Zo?" Trinity looked really worried. I can't tell her that I think Tyler is going to kill her in the future. That will only stress her out some more. Plus my dream may not even be anything. Just a dream that my mind made up to stress me out.

"Its nothing. I just had a nightmare. Don't worry about it." I smiled at Trinity.

"Whatever you say. I'm just worried about you. A lot happened in the past couple days." She smiled still showing the worry in her eyes. I looked around and saw Zack and Tyler looking at us. I looked at Tyler and it kind of looked like he was smiling and had a strange look in his eye before he turned around before I could confirm what I saw.

"What time is it?" I asked Trinity.

"I don't know. It looks like maybe 7 or 8 in the morning." Ok then well what are we going to do now.

"We can't stay in the stables all the time we got to go sneaking around. I mean I did come here for a reason. I wanted to figure out what the war I was hearing about is all about." Trinity smiled and laughed.

"Ok so what are we going to do. All the guards will probably be on look out for us." Zack said.

"We will just have to wear are hoods and keep a low profile." Trinity said.

"Sounds like a plan." Zack laughed.

Tyler was being really silent. What's up with him? I wonder..... NO that's not it... I hope its not anyhow.

We all got out of the stables and headed for the village where people were everywhere. Ugh.

(Trinity's POV)

I am really curious about this war I keep hearing about. I hope no one remembers us from yesterday.

CRAP!!! I TOTALLY FORGOT FOR A SECOND THERE STUPID TRINITY!!!

I ran up to Zoey and gave her a huge hug.

"Happy birthday Zoey!!"

"Again I completely forgot yet you remembered." Zoey laughed.

I pulled away from Zoey and gave her a huge smile.

"Ill be right back. Zack, Tyler you two stay here with Zoey ill be right back." I ran off. Every year for her birthday we always have ice cream. They got to have ice cream in this place.

I looked everywhere when I seen a little shed like place. I seen a man walk from the shed and he was carrying a bowl. I ran up to him.

"Sir what do they sell in there." I pointed to the shed and looked in his bowl. Its looks like ice cream!

"They sell creamy ice." Creamy ice? Is that what they call ice cream? Wow...

"Thank you!" Anyhow if its ice cream who cares what they call it. I waved to the man and ran inside the shed. I went up to the counter and look at the menu above the counter. It looks like they have vanilla. All the other names I don't know what they are...

"May I help you?" The employee behind the counter said.

"Oh yes may I have two vanilla ice creams?" Oops I said ice cream didn't I?

"Ice cream? You know what I like that much better than creamy ice haha. Sure you may have two vanilla ice creams." Well then cool. The employee handed me two bowls filled with vanilla ice cream and I handed him the money for them. I ran out of the shed. I ran back to the spot I had left Zoey and the other two. When I got to the spot they were already walking up to me.

"What the heck Trinity where did you go?" Zack said. I ignored him and went to Zoey.

"Here you go Zo. I don't know how it taste since this is made in a different world and I didn't stop and try it."

"Thanks Trinity. Your such a nice little kitty." She said while looking at me smiling. She looks so innocent. Why of all people did I have to become friends with her. Heck not just friends best friends. To be honest I don't think I would be able to live if something happened to her, so why did she have to be brought into this mess.

"Just remember this "little kitty" will fetch you some ice cream whenever you want haha." I laughed and so did she.

We both picked up our spoons and took the first bite together. Dang this taste good!

"Wow this is good!" Zoey said eating more.

"I don't get any ice cream!?" Zack said.

"Yeah I want some to." Tyler pouted.

"No!" Zoey shouted looking at Tyler.

"Ok geez. I was just asking no need to yell over ice cream." Tyler said looking kind of confused with what I thought looked like anger, but it faded far too quickly for me to confirm it. Before Zoey could reply I said something.

"Okay lets get going. I wanna get some answers about this war." I said and we started walking looking for people to ask about this. Hopefully we will get some answers and nothing bad will happen because of yesterday.
