"Well, Elaine. Where do we start?" He says, taking his seat.

I stare blankly at him, shrugging.

"Is Zion fired?" I ask him. I watch as his face drops.

"We will get to that later." He clears his throat. "I think you already know that I'm disappointed. More than disappointed in both of you to be forwardly honest."

I stare down at my lap and fiddle with my hands.

"It was a shock. Especially as only yesterday me and Zion were talking about someone. That someone I didn't know was you at the time. I was excited for him. Now...I'm not too sure..." He sighs and pulls his chair closer towards his desk. "I'm not sure what to do with you. Not yet. Which is why I want you in tomorrow morning before your first lecture begins. If that's possible for you?" He nods his head at me.

"Yes." I mutter.

"Good. Zion told me earlier that it only lasted 2 weeks, is that true?" He stares at me, waiting for my answer.

I nod my reply.

"Is that true, Elaine?" He says it more firmly.

"Yes." I say.

"Thank you.." He sighs. "You knew it was wrong?"

"Yes."

"Why did you do it, then?" He tilts his head in an intimidating way.

"I don't know.." I say, my words only a whisper. It felt wrong at the time, it still does. But deep down, something was telling me it was right. It was a good thing for myself to do...

"I need more detailed answers from you, Elaine. Or there's no point in doing this."

"So don't do it." I mutter, regretting my words as soon as they leave my lips. He raises his shoulders, his body tensing underneath his jacket.

"Do you want to get kicked out, or no? If not then I suggest you listen to me. I am trying to help you get out of this." His next words are only a small whisper and he leans forward in his seat, "You and Zion are both lucky that I am close with him and feel like giving you a chance. I need you to cooperate well with me, Elaine. Zion's done it, now it's your turn. I am doing you a favour, one that I wouldn't give if this situation was with any other student and teacher. So focus. And lie. I do not care."

Oh.

I watch him as he switches a switch on something on his desk. Looking further at it, I come to realise it's a recording device. One of those that records what people say...Shit.

"Why didn't you tell me that before we started? It would've made things easier of me." I stare at him, wiping the useless sweat off my hands and then crossing my arms.

He shakes his head and laughs. "I wanted the truth for myself, but the tape is being played to the rest of the head staff in tonight's meeting. I'm going to start it again, lie as much as you like." He smirks at me.

What a nosey bastard...

"You're a dick." I smile.

He shrugs, "Zion says that a lot too..." I raise my eyebrow at him.

"Take it as a hint." I mutter. He turns to look back at me and He ignores my statement.

"Ready?" He asks me. I give him a nod and the sound of the switch goes off and there's a small beep.

"Zion told me he was only tutoring you because you needed to get a higher grade for your next year, is that right?" He says it while nodding at me, telling me to say It's true.
