Thunder rumbles in the sky, the clouds a dark shade of grey. Me and the rest of the girls are sitting around the coffee table, all squished onto the couches with blankets wrapping around us individually. It's been a week since the call at Ben's dorm and all classes have been cancelled due to the sudden storm.

All of us stare at the laptop resting on the table in the middle of the room, listening to the news lady ramble on about critical information on the storm.

"Down in town, it has been said there has been a couple floods around specific streets and estates, causing people to have to evacuate." The screen behind her goes from a zoomed out map to a slideshow of images. None of the houses or streets I recognise, so I don't bother to worry all that much. I will make sure to message Kayla to see if Evelyn and her are alright later though.

The small lady's words continue. "Ambury Beach has also been closed off because of the rise in water levels around that area. We have been told to alert anyone nearby to not go further than the close car park nearby." Some of the girls let out a whine. Yes, it was Belle.

"The storm is predicted to last only a couple more days. But the specific duration is unknown." The camera pans to a man and a woman who sit down on stools behind a desk. Sami leans forward and slams the laptop closed.

"I just want it to be over..." Belle complains.

"It started yesterday night, Belle. Be patient." Cali climbs up off the sofa, taking her blanket along with her.

"What do we do today then?" I ask, looking around. They all shrug besides Arial.

"I'm meeting with someone in an hour, so I will be gone." She says, pulling herself up. She walks towards the draws, opens hers, and takes a selection of clothing before walking into the bathroom. We hear the shower turn on only a little while later.

"Soo..." I carry out my words. "What are we planning on doing?"

No one says a thing. I watch as Olivia slumps her body down onto the couch.

Bloody hell...

It's a storm. Why's everyone so pissy?

"Come onn..." I stand up and shake the blanket covering Olivia. I then chuck a pillow at Belle's face as she gives me a dirty look.

"Get up. We have a day to spare! We can make it fun...?" I suggest it more as a question.

"I'm not in the mood. Sorry." Sami says from the couch.

I look around at the rest of them to catch Belle looking back at me, a smirk on her face.

"Whatever you're about to do or say, I don't want to h-"

"Why don't you ask your boyfriend to hang out?" She cuts me off with her question. Her choice of words surprise me and my thoughts go in the wrong direction which makes me force them out of my head.

"Not my boyfriend. And I want to hang out with you guys." I drop myself back down onto the comfy seat.

"What do you want to do then?" Olivia pipes up. I turn to look at her.

"Uhm...we could go to a café? Or go out to eat somewhere. The movies? Shopping? Just something to take up the day."

"I'll go shopping!" Belle jumps back up and then stops abruptly, frowning. "But the shops in town are better. So if we aren't going there, I'm not going." She stares at me in the eyes.

"I don't mind going there." I shrug, turning to Olivia. "Can you drive?" I ask.

"I didn't say I was going." She mutters, raising her eyebrow at me.
