7 years later..."Mummy! Mummy! Come look..." Ivy comes running into the living room, her face covered in various different colours of eyeshadow as well as her hands.
I leap up from the couch, taking in the state of her hands and clothes.
"What could have possibly left you in such a mess?" I tease.
She moves her hands in front of her as smiles up at me.
"Come..." She points her hand to the door leading to mine and Zion's room.
"What have you done now?" I sigh, shaking my head with a smile of my own.
She giggles as she grabs hold of my hand and drags me off to the room.
She stops short in front of the closed door and knocks on it roughly. I wince internally when I catch the small, colourful smudge left behind.
"Are you ready?" She calls out, continuing to knock.
"Come in!" Her older brother Isaac shouts back.
Ivy slowly twists the doorknob and pushes the door open. I watch as she peaks her head around the corner and instantly starts giggling to herself, the sweet, soft sound making my heart melt.
"Mummy! Look!" She tugs on my arm, her eyes watery from laughing so much.
I push the door open further and walk through, my eyes going wide from shock.
"Oh my gosh..." I laugh, staring at Zion as he sits on my vanity chair with a face full of make-up on.
I don't bother to think about the fact that it's my makeup Ivy and Isaac used and walk over to where they all sit together.
Isaac has a makeup brush in his hands. The soft fur coated in pink to match Zion's cheeks. His eyelids are bright blue, and he has a small wonky eye lined heart placed beneath some very, very large lashes. I don't even know where they came from...
"Oh, Zion..." I bend down and kiss his bright red lips. "You look stunning..." I laugh and all he does is continue to look miserable.
"Do you like it, Daddy?" Ivy asks, climbing onto his lap. He playfully pulls on her pigtails and changes his moody look to a beaming one.
"Of course I do. You both did a wonderful job." He turns to Isaac and ruffles his hair before pulling him to his side and placing a kiss on his head.
Isaac pulls away and comes to me, taking my hand. "Your turn." He speaks.
"Yes, Mummy. Please do the honours of taking my place." Zion smirks over at me as he lifts both him and Ivy from the chair. His hand wraps around her as she snuggles into him.
"I have to get myself ready unfortunately..." I squeeze Isaac's hand, squatting down till I'm level with him.
He gives me a frown. "What for?"
I tilt my head, raising my eyebrow. "Have you forgotten it's your sister's birthday already?" I smile at him, and he laughs.
"Whoopsies." He shrugs, releasing my hand and running off to my vanity to put stuff away.
I follow him, taking a peek at Zion and Ivy who now lay on mine and his bed, her snuggled up beside him as they both play something on his phone. I smile to myself, remembering how I've been gifted with the best husband and children. Me and Zion got married two years after Isaac was born, meaning he's now five. He has nearly identical hair and eyes to Zion with his nose and lips being almost the same as mine. He and his sister both share the most beautiful long and natural eyelashes you could imagine, and I can't lie to you... I am extremely jealous. Ivy's two years younger than him and she shares most of the same features besides the hair. She has my brown, soft and wavy hair like me but Zion's dark brown, but almost black eyes.
