I watched as the tears began to flow from her eyes the more I went on and she seemed to break completely at the last two sentences, making me think that the words hurt not only me but her also.

As soon as I saw her whole body turn into a full sob, I didn't know whether or not to pull her against me and comfort her. I didn't know if she would allow it, If she would stay or if she would push me away. But I did it anyway.

As soon as her body came flush against mine, I felt myself relax against her. And her body did the same. That's when I knew I couldn't let go.

"You're okay. It will be okay." I whisper the words into her hair, placing a kiss just above her temple. I do as much as physically possible to get her to calm down, and soon enough she does to the point she can speak.

"Zion.." Her words are a slow whisper and hearing my name from her beautiful, plush lips makes me want to lean down and kiss the fuck out of them. But I hold myself back.

"Yes, baby?"

She tilts her head up to look at me, still keeping herself close against my chest. "I will do it." She gives me a weak smile. "You have one chance." She nuzzles her face into my chest. "Just one."

I don't know what to do. I can't kiss her and swing her around in my arms like I want to, so I just hug her tighter. As tight as I can, as if I never want to let go. And I don't want to.

After a couple seconds, she uses her fist to slightly push me back. Not enough to move all the way out of my arms, but just enough so she can look up at me properly.

"Only one. Okay?" She repeats herself.

"I know... That's all I need." I say it with confidence, and a smile. A smile. I haven't smiled in god knows how long.

"Don't get too cocky." She says it in a teasing way, leaning back into me at the same time, wrapping her arms around the back of my waist and squeezing herself closer.

I don't take any time to wait and wrap her back up in my arms.

It surprises me how much she wants it. That she's coming back for more. She's given me the one chance I've wished for since I watched her through the window of the business block. When he car drove off and she was no longer there. When I realised that I had lost her. And she really wasn't coming back.

In some way, I'm grateful for Kayla to have told me to come today. Because I don't think I would have built up the courage to come to Elaine myself. Although I had to semi-beat some dick up tonight, it was all worth it.

Because now I have my baby back.

After Elaine realised she promised Kayla and Evelyn she would meet them back at the beach, she pulled herself away from me with a frown.

"I have to meet Kayla and Ev back at the beach." She says.

"Okay...Do you want me to come?" I offer her as I would like to. But it's up to her.

She thinks about it for a second or two before nodding.

"Just until we can see if the others are gone." She looks down at her feet as she says the words.

"Okay. I can do that." I smile at her, taking her hand and placing a small kiss on her head.

It feels like I can't go a second without her touch now I can have it and she's here with me again.

We walk back the way we came from, coming to stop after we walk through the bush.

There's a big drop from the pavement to the actual beach, so it gives us a chance to see if they're there without being seen.
