"Where are you going?" Kayla shouts from where she and George stand.  Apparently, according to Elaine, they are a 'thing' now- her own words, not mine. But she's not absolutely certain of it.

"Getting drinks and food. Are you coming?" Elaine shouts back, pulling me behind her as we skate to the open gate of the rink.

Kayla and the rest begin to skate over so me and Elaine hop off the ice and get a head start to the cafe.

"What do you want?" I ask her as we come to a halt at the counter a minute later.

"Just a water, please." She kisses me on the cheek before beginning to walk towards the tables. I grab her jumper and pull her back to me.

"And to eat?" I give her what I'm hoping is a you need to eat something look.

"I don't need anything." She sighs, rolling her eyes at me. I drop my hand and turn back to the server, knowing she won't change her mind even if I tell her again.

"One water and a coke, please, mate."

"Anything else for you, sir?" He taps away on the screen in front of him before looking up at me again.

"Two hotdogs with ketchup." He nods at me with a smile, continuing to type then print out a receipt.

"I will bring out the food in a minute."

"Thanks."

I wait for the food after paying and rest my elbows on the countertop.

A voice from beside me asks something and I turn to find Kayla staring at me with a smirk. "How's you and Elaine?"

"How's you and George?" I question her back. "I heard you're a 'thing' as Elaine put it." I laugh to myself.

She shrugs. "She's not wrong."

I raise my eyebrow at her, beginning to say something again, but I get interrupted by the guy at the till.

"One coke, one water and two hotdogs?" He calls out, holding out the bottle after placing down the food on the ledge.

"Thanks, mate." I give him a nod before walking off, completely ignoring what Kayla told me.

I slide the two hotdogs onto the table where everyone's sitting and place Elaine's water in front of her, taking the seat beside her.

"Two hotdogs?" She gives me a weird look. I slide one of the boxes with the hotdog in it over to her next to her water.

"One for me and one for you." I sigh, not looking at her. If I look, she won't eat it and instead would just give me a look that tells me she doesn't need it. But she needs to eat something. I'm almost certain she hasn't since we left this morning.

I get through half of my food before looking out the side of my eyes and realising she hasn't even opened the box.

"Just a couple bites and I'm happy." I finally looked at her. She doesn't move and continues to drink her water.

I open the box for her and slide it closer, earning me a roll of the eyes.

She doesn't complain as she picks it up and begins to eat.

In the end she ends up finishing it all despite me saying just a few bites would be okay.

"Are we going back on the ice?" Olivia asks, looking around as she takes a sip of her drink.
