Me and Lucas walked inside the room.
he sat in the second row but I had
to introduce myself . God my anxiety is through the roof right now.
"Class please Welcome Maxine!"
Mr Clarke excitedly says."It's max nobody
Calls me Maxine.." I say in a low voice.
"I'm sorry?" Mr. Clarke says"It's Max no one calls me Maxine." I say a little louder.
I see Lucas, Dustin, Mike, and Will
staring."Well your seat is next to Lucas"
Mr Clarke says in a more formal tone.
Annoyed of me already great.
I plop down next to Lucas and place
My book bag next to the desk. I cross
My arms and at least try to pay attention.
But Lucas is stuck on my mind.
I don't understand why. God
The classroom is dead though.
I feel a pair of eyes burning on
the side of my head. I already
know it's Lucas but I wonder
why he's staring...
