Hunter
I hit the gym hard when I left Sophia's apartment.
A mix of emotions were running through my body, the main one being relief. Sophia isn't dating anyone else and she didn't lie. But with my stupid fucking actions and attitude with this situation, I may have fucked things up.
I knew I would.
This is why I don't have women in my life. The ones I like, I push away and the ones I don't I can't get them to stop throwing themselves at me.
I mean, our conversation did end good, I think?
I don't fucking know.
Jack and Brent meet up with me at the gym, wanting the low down.
"She didn't lie. She isn't dating anyone else, it was her best friends boyfriend I saw her with. I apologized but she asked for space and time. So I fucked things up." I throw punch after punch on the pads that Brent is holding out infront, trying to get out all the feelings I have building up inside me.
"So, how did you leave it?" Jacks asks, once I've pulled off my gloves.
"She said we will talk later." I shrug as we make our way to the showers.
"Sounds like she doesn't want to date you anymore my friend. Maybe I have a shot with her now." Brent winks at me, Jack shakes his head while I death stare at him.
I question our friendship sometimes, I really fucking do.

After spending my last two hours with Brent at Lava Lounge, I say my goodbyes and head to The Velvet Room. I don't have too much to do tonight so I'm hoping to head out by the early hours. As I park around the back of the club, I see the queue snaking around the building down the street.
Tonight's going to be another busy one.
As I head into my office, rolling my shirt sleeves up, my phone starts to vibrate. Seeing Sophia's name on the message, I pick it up and reply straight away.
She wants to meet me.
Fuck. I can't let her down.
Letting her know I'm at the club but she can swing by, I stride out of my office straight behind to bar, needing a beer. Jack spots me immediately and comes over.
"Starting early tonight aren't we." He chuckles.
"I need it. Sophia is coming here, she wants to talk." I down a mouthful as soon as I pull off the cap.
"This is good. She might forgive you."
"Or this is bad, something that you can't tell someone over a text."
"Well at least you can win her over again if she's here with you boss, I'll keep my eye out for her coming in."
"Thanks Jack." I nod and pat him on the back as I head back into my office.
I try to get stuck in with some paperwork but I can't stop my knee from fucking bouncing. I glance at my phone and see it's after 11pm.
Has she changed her mind?
Fuck. I feel my palms sweating.
I need to stop fucking overthinking. Anxiety is creeping into my mind thinking how I much I regret my actions towards Sophia.

She is here.
I left Sophia in my office while I ran out to grab us some drinks. I spot Jack winking in my direction and I nod. I take a few breaths before returning to her.
