Sophia
I didn't know what to do when I got that message from Hunter.
The girls said I should see him, just for an explanation and some sort of closure, so then I can move on.
But here I am with Hunter, I can't help that my heart races everytime I'm with him.
I'm in love with this man, and it's going to be so hard trying to move on from him.
"Just give me a minute and you'll see." Hunter tells me.
We've arrived at his club, Hunter says once I see for myself I can trust him. I don't know what that means right now but I don't have much hope.
"Sit here." He tells me, pulling a chair towards me.
We are in a small room, filled with filing cabinets and a few screens. Hunter is fiddling with something in front of me and until he steps to the side of me I can eventually see what it is.
"You can watch everything for yourself Soph, this is the day she first came into my office." I look up to the screen and there's cctv footage playing from Hunter's office.
I can see Hunter's reaction isn't pleasant when he is talking to her, there's no sound unfortunately, but I can tell just by his posture he isn't happy.
Once that day has played out, he leans over me, flicking forward to the week he was distant and I've been alone in his penthouse, while he told me he has been working. I stare at the screen as the hours and days of footage plays infront of me.
He was telling the truth.
He has genuinely been in his office on calls, and typing away on his computer. Jack also appears a few times too.
I gulp, my eyes never leaving the screen.
"And here's the last one." I hear Hunter tell me.
I know what this is going to be.
I clasp my hands together in my lap to brace myself. I watch the screen as Hunter sits at his desk on a phone call, he is back and forth between his laptop and some papers infront of him when Lucy walks in, her top already off. She gets to him immediately and goes straight in for a kiss, I can't tell if she speaks or not, but then I see myself appear in the room.
I watch myself leave as Hunter pushes Lucy away from him, pointing at her angrily, you can tell he is shouting at her. Jack appears says something to Hunter, which makes him leave the room.
The screen shuts off as Hunter stands infront of me. I blink, trying to process everything I have just seen.
Was it me in the wrong?
I called him a liar and a cheat but he has clearly proven to me that he was working the entire time, and that he was honest about Lucy that night.
"Baby, please say something?"
"I-"
I can't talk.
I don't know what to say.
I moved all of my things out of his penthouse before I let him talk to me and explain things. I don't know if I'm ready to do this, to be in a relationship.
I can't seem to get anything right, we need to communicate more and I don't know if that is something that should just happen if your with the right person, or is it something that you both work to make happen.
"Soph? Talk to me, this shows you I was being honest right?" His voice soft, as his eyes are searching mine.
"Can you take me home?"
