Sophia
"Soph! Hurry up, the Uber is nearly here!"
Today is my twenty-fourth birthday and my best friends insisted that we go out to celebrate tonight. I'm not a huge drinker which the girls know, but I can push to a couple of cocktails as it is my birthday right?
Ivy has picked out my outfit for me and I can't say I hate it. Even though it's not my usual leggings and crop top combo. I'm wearing a short black dress that is super figure hugging and clings to my ass with a deep v neckline.
Like I said, definitely not my usual type of outfit but I look good.
"I'm nearly ready, just give me one minute!" I yell back.
I gather my phone, purse and keys off the side table in my bedroom and place them in a small studded clutch bag. I'm just finishing climbing into my heels when Cassie comes into the doorway.
"Soph? The Uber is here, you ready?"
"Yeah, all done. How I do look?" I ask.
"Gorgeous!" Cassie answers smiling. She has already had pre drinks and I can tell she is a little buzzed.
"Let's hope you get some tonight, you've been single for too long now!" Cassie shouts after me as we walk to the front door where Ivy is waiting for us.
All three of us are so different but somehow it works so well together.
Ivy, the girly girl, dressed in a pink halterneck dress and matching silver handbag and strappy heels. Her blonde hair in curls cascading down her bare back.
Cassie, showing her feisty latina side in her satin, white flowing spanish style dress, her hair in natural tight curls on one side of her head, and then there's me.
With my little black number, showing my toned legs and arms from the last four years as a yoga instructor, my long brunette hair straightened down my back. I'm not much of a make up wearer so I settled for a little mascara, some concealer and a nude lipstick.
"Cassie, you know I'm happy being single." I say shaking my head.
"I love my life how it is, spending time with you guys and between working at the sports centre and the coffee shop, I just have enough time to do things I enjoy."
"What Cassie is trying to say Soph, is that we just want you to be happy." Ivy remarks, facing me while Cassie nods in agreement.
"Well thank you, but I am happy. I know I haven't had a boyfriend in a while but trust me, I'm happy, I don't need anything else in my life besides what I have already." I answered as we all head outside to the Uber waiting for us.
I honestly meant it.
I am happy.
My last boyfriend was while I was in college. Liam had cheated on me with a girl he was fucking before me, and at the time I was heartbroken as it was my first relationship, but we were only together for a few months, we weren't even in love.
After Liam, I had a few dates here and there with guys who I met while at work or on night's out, but I never really clicked with anyone.

The Uber comes to a stop outside of a busy club in the centre of London, The Velvet Room. I haven't been here before but it's one of Ivy and Cassie's favourite clubs.
"Right girls, let's get some drinks in for the birthday girl!" Cassie shouts over the loud music.
They are playing reggaeton tonight, my favourite.
