chapter twenty

Hunter

I have a surprise for Sophia after dinner.

It's been fucking perfect this weekend, I know Sophia hasn't forgot she only has two classes left before the sports centre let her go, but I'm glad I was enough to take her mind of it.

Even if it's just a couple of days.

Our night has been amazing so far, Sophia is such a beautiful woman inside and out, I can't fucking believe she is mine.

I wait for her to finish her wine before intertwining our fingers and heading for the lift. I hit a button on the panel and we start riding up.

"Wait, you hit the wrong button Hunter, we should be going down to our room." Sophia of course points out.

"No wrong button baby, I have a surprise for you." I kiss her cheek.

I quickly came to set this up while Sophia was getting ready, with one of the workers helping me out.

"A surprise? On the roof?" She asks when step out of the lift and it unveils the rooftop.

"Just over here, come on."

I guide Sophia over to a blanket laid out over a bench, there's wine in an ice bucket on the table with a huge bunch of red roses sitting next to it. The sun is slowly dipping and we are right on time for a beautiful sunset.

"Wow, you did all this?" Sophia approches the set up and lifts her gaze to meet mine.

"I wanted to do something memorable for you, I love sunsets and when I heard this place had a great view and it was a spa resort, I thought it was the perfect combination." I explain, smiling down at her.

My cheeks genuinely ache from how much I have smiled the last couple of days.

"Thank you, this is-" Sophia sighs. "Wow."

I think she is lost for words.

"Come on, lets grab a glass and watch the sunset."

My hand on her lower back, I guide her closer to her bench. Pouring us both a glass of white wine, I take a seat before handing one of the glasses to Sophia. She takes it with her left hand and her right falls perfectly on my thigh. I smile reaching my arm around and pulling her close, placing a kiss on the top of her head.

We silently both turn our attention to the sunset, it has almost a magical feeling to it, watching the day end, spending time with the people you care about.

Our relationship is honestly going from strength to strength, I have no fucking clue how we found each other, but it was definitely meant to happen.

"Soph?"

I pull my arm back and turn to face Sophia. She places her glass on the table and turns to me.

"Yeah?" She whispers, tucking her brunette hair behind her ears.

"I just want to say, I'm so happy we found each other, when we are together it's the best fucking feeling, you let me care for you and your such a beautiful girl Sophia."

I take a deep breath ready to continue, our eyes stay connected, both smiling widely at each other. I take her hands in my, lacing our fingers together.

"I love you Sophia."

I said it.

It's fucking out there now, I've been dying to tell her all weekend but I wanted it to be the perfect moment.

She breaks eye contact, glancing down at our hands that are tangled together. She releases a breathe, I need to break this fucking silence.

"I love you too, Hunter."

She fucking loves me.
