Forest Samples

Y/N POV

I sit down watching Jaune get his ass handed to him. He brings his sword down only for his opponent to block it with his mace. He gets overpowered and driven to his knee.

Cardin: "Give up scrawny."

Jaune: "I'll never-"

He has his stomach kneed. He falls to the ground as Cardin raises his mace. Glynda stops the match before he can kill him.

Glynda: "That's enough Cardin."

He lowers his mace.

Glynda: "As you can all see Jaune's aura is now in the red zone. This would mean he's incapable of fighting further and would be eliminated in a tournament style duel."

She looks from us to Jaune.

Glynda: "It's been weeks now Arc and you still have yet to show signs of improving. When your aura gets low try harder to think on whether to attack or defend. Doing that spells the difference between life and death. And we wouldn't want you to die now would we?"

Cardin: *quietly* "Some of us would."

Y/N: "I think Cardin has something to say."

All of eyes turn to him.

Glynda: "You have any remarks?"

He becomes nervous.

Cardin: "No."

He looks at me with eyes of hate. A couple weeks later I walk through the forest of Forever Fall.

Glynda: "Now I know the forest is beautiful but we're not here for the sights. You're here to gather sap samples for professor Peach. And I'm here to make sure nothing happens to any of you. Be sure to stick to your teammates for Grimm infest the area. At four you're to meet back up here. Good luck."

We slit up to collect samples. I gather mine when something hits the back of my head. I reach and feel sap. I turn around seeing who did that.

*meanwhile 3rd POV*

With Cardin's team we see them sleeping underneath a tree. Jaune then falls down in front of them holding six jars.

Cardin: "Good job Jaune."

Jaune: "I think I might be allergic to this stuff."

He gets to his feet.

Jaune: "Why'd you have me collect six jars when there's five of us?"

Cardin: "Follow me."

He drags Jaune away to a small cliff. 

Cardin: "Look down there."

He does seeing Y/N collecting his sap.

Cardin: "Y/N? What about him?"

Cardin: "That punk made me look like an idiot in Goodwitch's. I'll make him pay for that."

Jaune: "What're you gonna do?"

Cardin: "Give him a sticky surprise."

He reels back a sap jar causing Jaune to go wide eyed.

Jaune: "I don't think you should do that Cardin."

Cardin: "And why not?"

Jaune: "Because there's something about Y/N that isn't right. Something that says don't make me angry."

Cardin: "He's just an asshole. What's the worst he'll do?"

He launches the jar. It soars before splattering over back of Y/N's head. He turns around with fury filling his gaze.

Y/N POV

I burst into smoke getting in front of Cardin. Jaune points to him. Cardin goes to withdraw his mace but I kick him backwards. He slams into a tree. Before he can fall I toss my daggers at him. They impale his hands pinning him to the tree. I walk to him.

Y/N: "That was really idiotic. Time I taught you a lesson."

I activate the blade on my wrist. I put the blade in his mouth.

Y/N: "You've got such a carvable face. Problem is what do I want to permanently carve onto your face? So many choices not enough space."

Tears drench his cheeks.

Y/N: "Why're you crying? I ain't even started yet. Say you've always got a frown. How bout I give you a smile?"

I dig the blade in drawing some blood. 

Cardin: "Please stop! I won't bully anyone ever again, just please don't mess up my face!!!"

I watch as he cries rivers. 

Y/N: "Such a coward. Folding when threatened with your own medicine. Count yourself lucky I'm on probation."

I yank out my daggers walking away. I stop looking Jaune in his eyes.

Y/N: "He threatens you again deal with it yourself."

I continue walking back to the others.
