"MIKE, DUSTIN, AND LUCAS," CASEY TOLD HIM. Her dad looked out in the distance for a moment, thinking and Casey just realized what the big moment was before the end of the rollercoaster. Not only, was there a monster, they also had a child superhero running around Hawkins. If she was being honest, she thought that was pretty awesome. But judging by Hopper's reaction, maybe it wasn't, "Dad?"

His eyes snapped to hers, and she raised a questioning brow. He ran his hand over his face, "We gotta go." He walked toward her, gently grabbing her arm to pull her along. Jonathan and Joyce still stood in the hallway with confusion written on their faces as well as Nancy. Hopper stopped, staring at the teen girl, "Where's your brother?"

Nancy shook her head at the question, "Uh, home...probably. Why?"

He skipped past the question, and opened the door to his office, "Get your stuff. We're leaving."

"Hopper?" Joyce drawled, questioningly, "What is going on?"

"It's the kid." The mother eyes widened, telling Casey she knew exactly what her dad was talking about.

"And "the kid" is..." Casey wondered.

Her dad groaned, "I'll explain in the car."

They all crammed themselves into Jonathan's Galaxie since it had more space than Joyce's Pinto and Hopper drove them to the Wheeler's. Casey was lodged in between Nancy and Jonathan. For once she didn't mind sitting next to the girl, but she was still mad at Jonathan for a number of reasons. It seemed he was too. Both of them avoided direct eye contact with one another. She felt she had more of a right to be upset with him than he did with her. He probably didn't see it that way, not that she cared.

Once they were on the road, Casey urged the two in the front seat to spill the beans, "Alright, it your guys' turn now."

Hopper looked at her through the rearview mirror. She doesn't know why he was acting surprised. He couldn't have thought she wasn't going to ask, "Do you remember all those newspaper articles we found? About that lady Terry Ives and how she said Brenner kidnapped her daughter?"

Casey nodded, drawling out, "Yeah..."

"It's all true."

She clasped her eyes shut and her hands fanned out in front of her, "Wait, so...Hawkins Lab really was experimenting on those kids?" Her dad and Joyce nodded in unison, "And this little girl with the superpowers, she escaped the lab?" Again, they nodded their heads. Casey furrowed knit her brows. She had all the pieces to a puzzle, but she was having a hard time putting it all together. "I mean, this is great and all, but how does it relate to Will or—or the monster..."
