Ocean Manor.

Business elites in black suits filled the rows of benches outside.

Inside, the managers were all called to the lounge.

A middle-aged man sitting in the first seat on the left said, “I heard that we have a new chairman here? If you ask me, a boss like this—with no qualifications, experience or strategies—will only cause the company to decline, right?”

“That’s right, I thought that this position was yours, Brother Yang! After all, whether it’s experience or qualifications, it should be you! You’ve been here for almost 20 years, right?”

A young man wearing a branded watch said.

“I think Yu Xiong is right. I think this new boss got in through the back door, right? A rich second-generation heir should just be a rich second-generation heir. Why did he come up with such a crazy idea?”

A brown-haired man glanced at his watch and said, “Our Ocean Manor isn’t a small company! If something goes wrong, won’t we lose our jobs? Besides, how long has it been? The new boss isn’t here yet?”

A man sitting opposite him said, “I’m afraid he’s still in the company of women, right? We can’t expect a rich second-generation heir to be punctual. It’s good enough if he’s able to come today. Just don’t make us wait for nothing.”

“That’s right! We’ve been sitting here for almost half a day, but we still haven’t seen the person. Is the old butler trying to trick us? My butt is numb from sitting here!”

“If that’s the case, he’s just messing with us! I had to put aside my work to be here! I’m praying the new boss will come quickly and meet us, and get this over and done with!”

Rumblings of dissatisfaction could be heard.

Yang Yanhuai smiled smugly. This was what he wanted. He was the first person to know that the new boss was very young. If the new boss had been selected from among them, he would not be so opposed to the appointment.

But he had to be a rich second-generation heir with no known credentials!

“On what merit?” he thought.

He had dedicated most of his life to Ocean Manor. He had been working conscientiously, producing error-free work for so many years. He practically treated this place as his second home!

When the company was scouting for a new boss, he thought that his chance had come. All things considered, he was the most suitable candidate. His colleagues thought so too. They had prepared a celebratory feast, only to learn that the candidate had already been selected!

A rich second-generation heir from nowhere.

Yang Yanhuai found it hard to accept that this person did not have to do anything to land the position that he himself had dreamed of.

So he was only too happy to incite negative reactions towards the new boss to take him down a notch!

“Perhaps the new boss will feel wronged and leave,” he thought.

“At that time, I may even have a chance to assume that position!”

His smile widened as he said with feigned awkwardness, “I know everyone is not happy, but since the higher-ups have made this decision, we should just go along with it!”
