Levi had a problem. A big problem. A monstrous problem. A catastrophic problem. He had been at the movies with Eren when he felt it. A little twinge in his stomach, just enough to make him uncomfortable. Levi's head had been resting on Eren's shoulder and Eren's hand had been resting on Levi's knee. Levi had found that he spent more time watching Eren that night, than he had the actual movie. And after, when they had gone for ice-cream, Levi had found enjoyment in watching Eren rave on about how good the movie was and how well the character's had been portrayed. He watched Eren's lips, forming words and smiling and laughing. He had felt it, like a weight in his chest, he refused it to be, there was no way it was... Levi didn't fall in love, okay? So there was absolutely no way that Levi had even felt the tiniest part of it when he had been around a certain green eyed, brown haired boy, absolutely no fucking way. But it was there again when he had dropped Eren home, and they had made out in the car parked in front of his house. It was there when he received a text at 11:52 pm that night that read goodnight x. And to be honest that feeling had been growing and consuming Levi more frequently over the past few weeks. He had no idea what to do.
Eren woke to a fierce drumroll on his door.
"Come in?" He questioned rubbing at his tired eyes. The door sprung open and his parents and Mikasa burst in.
"Happy Birthday!" the yelled bringing him a tray of breakfast and a few presents. The one that stuck out to him was a key. A car key to be exact. Eren almost squealed and engulfed both his parents into a hug.
"Thank you, thank you, thank you!" he said over and over again. They laughed and smiled at him, and when Eren saw his blue, kind of old car he almost squealed again. He loved it. He didn't care if the paint was scraped or there was a dent in the side, it was his to drive... if he passed his test. What would happen if he didn't? That would be mortifying! Could you just imagine it, how embarrassed he would be if he didn't pass his driver's test. Eren would have to hide himself away in utter humiliation. But he couldn't think about it like that, he had to believe that he would pass the test, didn't he?
"So are you ready to get going?" His dad asked him.
"Yeah, as I'll ever be I guess." Eren shrugged. He followed his Dad out to his car and his Dad drove him to the test.
"Don't be nervous." His Dad smiled kindly, "I know you'll pass with flying colours!" And pass with flying colours Eren did. He couldn't believe it when the instructor told him he'd almost gotten 100%, bar that parallel park he couldn't quite get right. He jumped shouting and punching his fists into the air with excitement. The driving instructor just laughed and smiled when she handed him all the information he needed. He was so happy and ran out to show his Dad.
"See I told you, you could do it." Eren smiled. They went and got his picture taken and his licence handed to him. Eren just stared at the little card in utter shock. He actually had his licence; this must be some kind of birthday miracle. His Dad had let him drive home and much to his amazement, to Levi's by himself. He remembered the proud look on his Dad's face when he'd gotten his licence and the stern one when he informed him that he'd be spending the night at Levi's.
"Don't to anything reckless," His father had said.
"Make good choices." His mother had cooed.
"I don't want to know about it." Mikasa had cringed, laughing. "Be safe." She'd smiled at him through his car window with a wink. Eren groaned.
"Mikasa, stop it." Eren's face turned bright red.
"I'm being serious, use-"
"Mikasa I think I had the talk when I was twelve, I don't think I need it again now? Besides who ever said anything about sex?"
