"Y/N I said no. Not with what happened last time."

"I said sorry, ok? Want me to say it again. I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sor-"

"Ok ok I get it."

Why is it so hard to get a revolutionary out if the house? In trying to convince Huey to go to the state fair with me, Riley, and Adriana. Considering Riley and Huey never went, I wanted to give them the opportunity to do so.

But my stubborn revolutionary, Huey Freeman, couldn't have a care in the world if he went or not. He rather stay home with his stupid excuse of a book instead of hanging with his friends.

"Hue, please for me. I'll do anything I swear." I pleaded, getting on my knees in front of him.

"No Y/N and that's final. Now get up, the way your sitting is very weird and Granddad might see." He stated in his nonchalant tone. Sometimes I hate/love this nigga.

"Fine then I guess I just gotta go ask Cesear." That sentence alone made him get up and run upstairs to change.

Once he did, we went to get in the car with Riley, Adrianna, and my brother, Jalijah Like Elijah, just with a J.

"Y'all ready to go, y'all got everything. Phones, power banks, money?"

"Yeah, just drive." I said with a hint of annoyance in my voice.

"Ok ok, damn. I told mom I didn't wanna come anyways, but she made me cause I gotta watch yall." He said, whispering the last part, though I heard it.

I heard it but didn't want to fight with him so I left it alone. He started the car and started driving with Riley and Adrianna in the middle seat and me and Huey in the back.

It was silent the whole ride, besides Riley's phone which was playing Stranger Things and him and Adrianna were watching.

I was looking out the window humming a little tone before I felt something warm on my thigh. I looked down and saw Huey's hand on my thigh, using his thumb to run circles on my top. I was surprised but not very nervous. The last couple days he has been very affectionate and though it was out of the ordinary for him, I didn't mind. I'm an affectionate person.

I looked up and saw him reading a book he brought along and I just smiled at him. I have always liked Huey. Since we met, which was in the 6th grade. He was my partner for a project and we ended up talking about a lot of things, some being things Huey normally doesn't talk about. Riley had told me that Huey liked me and I couldn't believe it. I mean Huey always says himself he won't like no one until he's dead. I just went along with it cause it was his opinion and honestly I didn't know what to say. Now he has these random breaks during the day when he sees me. He always had a pillow in between his legs when I sit next to him and if I'm lucky, he can sit there for about 10 minutes before he gets up and goes to the bathroom.

I guess I was staring for a whioe cause I felt someone shakee and bit. "Y/N, you ok? You are staring into space for a sec." I heard a deep voice talk to me. I blinked a few times before trying t8 locate the sound and saw Huey speaking. I looked at him for a good ten seconds before speaking. "Yeah ik ok." I spoke, my voice slightly shaking.

He just gave me a sly smile before continuing his book about black people I think...

After about 10 more mins we mad with to the state fair. We all went straight to the rides and screamed as loud as we can the whole time. Everyone was having a good time until it was around 9 a clock, 30 misnomer before we were supposed to be home.

"Aye, what y'all wanna do befo we leave?" Riley asked. He had his arm around Adrianna and was leaning in a near by railing.

"Hey let's go on the Ferris wheel." Adri was jumping with joy when she said that.

We all agreed and went on the Ferris wheel, Riley with Adri and me with Huey. My brother met some girl along the way of us going on rides and playing games so he was long gone.

We sat there in comfortable silence, in the air with the night sky to light up the dark.

It started getting cold and I was shivering but I was playing it cool so Huey doesn't suspect anything. Which didn't work because I felt something warm on my shoulders and arms. I look on then and saw Huey's varsity jacket I got for his birthday.

"Huey, I'm fine. Just take back your jacket." I said, my teeth chattering against each other.

"No it's ok. I'm fine you need it more then me." He said with a small smile. I gave him the same and scooted closer to him so I can stay warm. He got what I was trying to do and wrapped his arm around me. I sighed and laid my head on his shoulder as we started to move to the top of the Ferris wheel.

The view was beautiful.

"Yeah I know." Hey said with a soft tone.

I must of said that out loud.

I looked up at him, but he was already looking at me. We stared at each other for a moment before I felt a pair of lips on mine. Huey Ficking Freeman was kissing me. Holy shit!!

I kissed back, putting my hand into his hair. He wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me closer to him so that there wasn't a gap between us.

We pulled away after a few moments and smiled at each other.

This has to be the best day ever.
