it was one of those days, days where you would walk into a room and forget what you were in there for. days where you had no energy to do anything and you wouldn't speak much.

kinda the reason why you had no friends, because these were everyday. but you were great at hiding what you needed to get by til you got home so it wasn't that much of a stress.

you only hung out with your neighbors and when your not outside, your inside doing nothing but having random scenarios in your head as you waltzed around your room.

you felt empty.

you hated this feeling more then ever. it was basically a daily reminder that you messed your life up. how you couldn't get any friends because of how your life was set up, staying at home was more of an option then leaving it and you barley called anyone any more.

sometimes you just wished you never matured at such a young age.

"nah gangsta, im worried about her bro." ddot blew the smoke out his mouth, it circulating in the air.

ddot knew you from your brother. he was always around dd and them and honestly became part of the family. you met them all at a gathering you brother dragged you to and y'all relationship started from there.

he was your friend though he wanted it to be more. he'd gotten fond of you as the time grew on and started to realize you don't get out much.

like ever.

you mostly kept to yourself of around a lot of people and didn't say much in conversations considering you couldn't hold one. he didn't care though. he wanted to be with you no matter what. on good and bad days.

so when you weren't here for the normal 1 am hang out y'all always do, he became suspicious. you always came and never missed out cause you loved filming weird videos of them just to make fun of them later.

ddot didn't like how you weren't here and has been asking about you for the past hour.

it's now 2:05 am.

your brother yanick smacked his lips,"bro she fine ight. she swore up and down she was fine before i left so take my word for it."

dd looked at him stupidly, "do people actually mean they fine when they say it? like you sound slow nick."

"right she could have been going through sum. you know the kids now days." notti spoke, ghosting the smoke in his mouth.

"nah, it don't feel right. finna go call her." darrien got up and walked to an empty room to make sure no one heard y'all conversation.

he clicked on your contact waiting for you answer, over thinking the things that could be wrong with you.

he hated not seeing you. it was a pet peeve of his and it was his biggest one. so when you answer this phone, he finna cuss the fuck out of-

"hello?" you voice caught him off guard, as he straightened up and cleared his voice.

"yeah what's up ma, why you not here?" shuffling was heard on the line, indicating you were in bed.

"uh I just didn't feel like it." ddot frowned his eyebrows, you sounded...

drained.

he didn't know what to say or do but he knew he needed to do something. he never heard you like this. you always sounded so happy around him it felt weird to hear you in a different tone.

"nah word2, why you sound like that?"

"like what?" you didn't wanna tell him. that was the last thing you wanted to happen. you didn't like expressing yourself. you didn't wanna be a burden to people.

"bro don't make me come over there, what the fuck happened?" you rolled your eyes though he couldn't see. you didn't wanna tell him but he was technically the only other person you and beside your brother soo..

"i just don't feel good ok? i feel empty and i didn't wanna get out my bed for some stupid shit so i stayed home." he blinked at you before hanging up on your face, you shrugging and laying back down.

about five minutes later, a door creaking woke you up and you shot up from your bed looking around to see who it was. it was dark and you couldn't see so it made it worse for you.

"bro who's there?" you said panicking as someone came into your bed, you screamed and tried to push them out.

'bro ma, chill please you being loud." a soft but raspy voice said, calming your nerves as you threw a pillow in the direction of the voice.

"you bitch what the fuck? you scared me." he smacked his lips and laid by you.

"nah just wanted to come talk to you. you didn't sound great over the phone." you frowned and groaned. i guess you talking about it tonight.

you broke it down for him on how you felt, bitch normal didn't happen with people but it felt nice. venting wasn't something you loved to do because of how you thought people would react and try to tell everyone your business.

but with ddot out just came so naturally. it felt like home.

"nah bro it's good to feel that way. not everyone is perfect. the imperfect are better anyways." you laughed at his remark and y'all just laid there and talked all night.
