It had been two days since the quartine had started. The past two days have been going downhill Glenn had gotten the virus that had made Patrick turn and many more people have too. It was scary knowing that your last final moments might be in pain and in fear of hurting the ones you love most. Carol had also had not been at the prison ever since she went on a run with Rick. I missed her more than anything. She would have been able to save us from the person that had killed those people. Burning them alive leaving their bodies to rot away.

Carl from all that I know hasn't abused his power with the gun which was a relief. I couldn't take it if another person had died at the hands of another, especially someone who would have been so easily forgiven by the others who had watched him grow up. The quartine room was packed with kids. There was Judith, Beth, Lizzie, Mika, and some others. Carl had been the person who told us all the news of what was happening and if we were soon safe from this disease.

Carl and I barely spoke as usual which was fine by me I only enjoyed hearing his voice if it meant he was telling us if we were soon allowed out of quartine. Carl had been getting more irritable by the day because he obviously wasn't allowed to help his father and the rest of his group. I somewhat understood him on that part he wanted to be useful and be able to provide security and safety for those he cared about. Being locked in a room from the outside wasn't helping that urge he had.

While thinking about how crazy the last week has been suddenly Rick busted into the room asking for Carl. Carl quickly got up from his position and ran towards the door.

"Can I help too?" I asked. Rick thought to himself for a moment before nodding his head and telling me to hurry. I quickly ran out of the room with them and headed towards the fence leaving the other kids in the room.

The fence was being overrun by walkers pushing at the fence. I knew this would happen. Once we got outside I helped Rick by holding the wooden log against the fence and the floor so Carl could hammer it in. We all jumped slightly turning our heads towards the cell blocks after hearing a gunshot. Moments passed as Carl continued to hammer the log.

"Think they're okay?" He asked.

"If things were going bad, we would have heard more shots," Rick replied.

"If things were going good we wouldn't have heard a gunshot in the first place," I murmured.

"Maggie would have gotten us if things were bad," Rick said firmly leaving me to hold the wooden log as Carl finished hammering it. I walked over to the other log to hold it Rick assisted me in the process. As Carl had prepared to hammer in the log.

"Everything alright in there I promise." Rick looked at me giving me a slight smile. Until moments later a part of the fence had ripped from the walkers.
