Today was the day of the welcome party Deanna hosted for all of us. I only decided on going because Bailey was going to be there. And I guess Ron would be there too. It was weird having a community so open and friendly towards outsiders. I liked Alexandria I really did but they were too trusting. They shouldn't be, it was making them weak.

I stayed at Rick's home most of the day I didn't feel like getting up or doing anything. That was until Rick told all of us to get ready that day for the welcoming. I didn't want a welcoming it was just a way for Deanna to try to merge us together but we weren't the same to the people of Alexandria. They didn't understand the sacrifices we made or the blood we spilled on a daily basis beforehand.

I started to head to the bathroom to get ready I wanted to look nice I guess if I was forced to go in general. I changed out of the clothes I wore for the past two days into something a little nicer it wasn't anything too nice but it was cleaner than the old clothes. I tried to straighten my hair the most I could without using a straightener. While brushing my hair a knock was heard at the front door. I opened it surprised to see Bailey in front of me holding some makeup she had. "What are you doing here?" I asked.

"Helping you get ready." She said happily as she walked towards the bathroom. I wasn't going to be rude but it definitely felt weird having something other than dirt or blood on my face. It wasn't a lot just some mascara and a black smudge around the eye. To Bailey it made my eyes look more visible. I was shocked when I looked in the mirror though I didn't look horrible. "Do you like it?" She asked as I stayed silent staring at my face thoroughly.

"Yeah, I do. Thanks." I said as I smiled at her. I heard a knock on the bathroom door taking me out of my nice moment. As I opened it, it was Carl.

"You look nice." He complimented snarkily.

"Hi. I'm Bailey." Bailey said as she reached over to shake his hand.

"Carl."

"What do you want?" I asked impatiently I don't know why I was being rude to him. I guess it was because ever since we got here he lied to me.

"I need to go to the bathroom." He said giving me a nasty glare. I obliged and Bailey and I walked out giving him entrance to the bathroom. Bailey and I just sat on the couch until he was done. "Everyones waiting outside let's go," Carl demanded as I walked beside him outside. Deanna's house wasn't far thankfully.

Carol opened the door first as she had made a homemade meal. The party was mostly with a bunch of middle-aged people and their kids. Some easy-listening music played at a medium volume as we walked in. Deanna saw us come in and started to walk toward all of us. "Welcome. Hi, Carl. Thank you for coming." She said as she immediately walked toward Rick.
