It had been a couple of hours of walking since the Governor attacked it was just Rick, Carl, and I. I had continued to help Rick walk the whole walk as Carl stopped helping him and continued to walk further. We were now in what seemed to be a small abandoned town. I still couldn't shake the feeling of seeing Carl so fragile as he was, it gave me chills down my back and spine. Maybe Carl wasn't so bad maybe he just had lost everything he ever cared for. I just had hoped that everyone else got it out alive. It was probably a low chance but I couldn't stand thinking about the ones I care about dying again. I finally felt at home and accepted for it to be all destroyed a repeating theme I see happening. Rick was still limping and groaning the entire time walking I tried to help him as much as I could. I mean Rick and Carl were the last people I had at the moment. I felt regret after not telling Carl to pull the trigger on the Governor if it wasn't for me none of this would've happened. Hershel, Judith, and everyone else would be okay and safe. Carl started walking faster than me and his father.

"Carl, slow down," Rick said trying to get the young boy's attention. But it didn't matter he kept walking. "Carl, stop!" Rick yelled even through his messed-up voice. The boy stopped in his tracks. "We need to stay together. We got to find a place with food, supplies." Rick spoke again. By the time he finished his sentence Rick and I made it to Carl.

Carl stared at the ground not even trying to show Rick's existence any attention. "Hey. we're gonna be..." Rick said putting his hand on Carl's shoulder which immediately made Carl give his father the most irritable stare. Carl continued to walk leaving me and Rick. We slowly kept pace.

An hour or two had passed through the forest as we found an abandoned what seemed to be a diner. carl waited for us to get there as we did Carl stood facing the door with his gun already pointing at the inside. Rick had taken his arm off me and opened the door for us.

"Wait outside, okay? Keep watch." Rick commanded the two of us.

"You keep watch, you can barely stand. I'm not going to let you go in there alone." Carl argued back.

"Excuse me?" Rick said challenging his son. I had been silent the whole walk but I couldn't know.

"Carl's right no offense but I think it would be better if we all cleared it together," I suggested calmly. Wow, the first time I defend Carl that's the first.

"You should let me do it myself." Carl snarled back at me giving me a nasty look.

"She's right we should all go in," Rick commanded as he opened the door. We all quickly got our guns out scanning the dinner area. We separated throughout the diner. Until we ended up following Carl to another room. A walker then started emerging from the shadows but it was cut off by some chairs and tables. The further we walked towards the walker Carl continued to keep his gun up.
