trigger warning - SA
It had been a month since everything happened. The two murders played out for everyone to see like a play that shocks the theater. Everything about Alexandria was like a play it was an act. They weren't strong, they weren't smart. They were quite the opposite. Ron had found out about his dad a month ago he hasn't left his house in a month. It was like he never existed almost like a hallucination. Rick had become more of a leader to Alexandria he was now highly respected as he pulled the curtains showing them the truth even if they couldn't handle it at the time. Because of Rick, they weren't as weak they changed as Rick said they would at the meeting. Some people still hated Rick for ruining their "perfect lives" when in reality nothing about this life was perfect anymore. The loss, the deaths, and the blood spilled didn't seem perfect but it was the reality and they had to face the consequences of it if they wanted to survive.
An old friend of Rick came along his name was Morgan he was quite friendly but I knew there was more to him. He wasn't weak but he didn't want to kill it wasn't like the Gabriel effect something happened, something horrible. His expressions were forced almost and had a very natural face as he was almost numb to this world. He spent most of his time practicing how to fight with this large stick he had. It was an unusual weapon but never the less he was good at it. Even though he went through something horrible I wasn't going to ask though, even Rick I think felt the same energy he probably knew more than me though. Some new people joined Alexandria too they were good people this place was becoming like the prison again but I was always still scared that something would happen...something bad that would make us leave.
There had been a new discovery near Alexandria a pit almost with thousands of walkers pilled up who get trapped in it. It was unusual since nobody in Alexandria made the pit there were multiple large moving trucks near it. People were collecting walkers we didn't know what for but it was for the worst. Rick had decided to try to lead the walkers away someway somehow but I think they didn't know how.
Today was the day everyone was planning on moving the large groups of walkers away from the pit...setting them free almost. Daryl and Rick demanded that we stayed in Alexandria and not help them. I knew that they were trying to protect us but I couldn't help but feel unhelpful the whole time as I stayed in Carl's house and held Judith as he read his comics.
"We should be out there helping." I sighed as I continued to hold the baby tightly in my arms.
"Don't," Carl argued.
"What do you mean don't?" I asked genuinely confused.
"You're not going. I won't let you." Carl said determinedly.
