"I-I can't. I can't do this. I'm sorry if I led you on, I didn't mean to. You're a great friend but I just can't do this." I say pushing Niya away and looking to the floor.

A few moments of silence pass and I look up when she still doesn't speak and she's just staring at me with an expression I can't decipher.

"Okay." She says.

Okay? What the hell. I was expecting her to act differently not like this at all.

"You're a great friend and I understand that it wasn't you're intention to lead me on and I respect your decisions but you're telling me you don't feel anything other than just me being a friend to you?" She asks.

"At first I didn't know what I actually felt for you but today I figured that I only see you as a friend and a friend only. And that will never change because I value you as my friend and I don't want to lose you either." I explain knowing that it's true.

While we were playing the dirty mind game, I saw the looks and felt the 'innocent' touches she gave me and I didn't feel anything when she touched me.

To be honest it made me a little uncomfortable. I know she likes me and maybe it's just because she tipsy that I'm feeling that way but I can't help it.

"I don't want to lose you either." She lies, I know she's lying because her eye twitches when she lies, she told me that yesterday.

"But I think it's best I leave now. I'll call a Uber." She speaks up again and I just nod my head.

Walking towards me, she pulls me in for a hug. Mumbling something to me in a different language.

"Ek sal jou dalk nie verloor nie, maar hulle sal beslis."

"What?" I ask confused, it's not one of the languages that I know.

"Don't worry babe. See you." She says before grabbing her stuff and closing the door behind her.

It's been like 10 minutes since Niya left and I'm calling Rowan and hopefully he'll put it on speaker so the other three can hear me.

Rowan: Hi baby, how are you.

Me: Hi, I'm stressed a bit.

Rowan: I'm putting you on speaker so the others can hear, okay?

Me: That's fine.

Rowan: Okay, now explain why you're a little stressed. Did something happen?

Me: Yes and don't worry ypu don't need to come back. I'm fine. Probably just overreacting. But Niya came over with some wine and a game so we played it and got a little tipsy after putting the Grayson and Lily to bed.

Rowan: (Christian now speaking) And?

Me: And then she dragged me to the kitchen to get some water to help sober us up and after I finished drinking my water she grabbed my face and kissed me but it felt wrong. And I couldn't do it.

Christian: Why are you stressing out then, baby?

Me: Because she said she respects my decision and then I said I don't want to lose you as a friend and then she said the same but I caught the lie. And then she said that it's best she leave and then mumbled something to me in a different language that I don't know but she sounded mad when she said it. And I feel like somethings going to happen to her or me.

Nathaniel: Okay. I think you're going to be fine. Maybe you're overthinking the situation and maybe she wasn't actually lying, princess.

Me: I know she was lying because her eye twitches when she lies. She literally told me that yesterday. She said that once when she was a child she lied to her parents about not stealing books from the library at school but her mom caught her out because her eye twitched and that's why she tries not lying anymore.

Ronan: Okay, well if she starts acting weird then tell us and distance yourself for a bit. Yeah?

Me: Yeah.

Rowan: It's getting late, you should go to bed. We'll see you tomorrow evening and we'll have some news for you. We love you, baby.

Me: I love you all more. Goodnight.
