𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐲

"Leave me alone!" I hear Mila scream but she comes bursting through the door and slamming it shut.

Running to the door, I open it but Mila shoves me away.

"Leave it, he's gone." she says and her chest heaves up and down.

Cupping her cheeks. "Are you hurt? Did he touch you?"

She sighs into my touch. "No and yes, he touched my arm."

"Son of a bitch" I swear waking up Grayson who starts crying.

"Can I?" she asks as she pouts her lips. I didn't realise I was staring at them until she bit her lip.

"Yeah sure." I say wanting to get her away from me.

"Thanks." she walks off to my room and picks up Grayson who instantly stops crying.

I swear that boy is going to be the death of me.

I was worried last night when she didn't come at ten o'clock like she said she would instead she pitched up at eleven.

Grayson and Lily were crying for her as soon as she left and then they ended up falling asleep from exhaustion of crying so much.

Since they were asleep before dinner, I didn't want to wake them up so I left them and decided if they woke up on their own then I would make them dinner.

I ended making dinner for Grayson since he didn't want to sleep after Mila picked him up and then eventually Lily woke up. Although every second week I have a break and someone else guards Mila but since I'm staying with her and she's writing finals I don't need to be changing shifts with anyone else.

Only until she goes back to campus fully next semester.

Grayson and Lily will be two by then.

"Morning." Mila yawns as Lily clings to her leg.

"Morning munchkin."She picks up a giggling Lily who presses a kiss to Mila's check.

"Aw thank you." She says repeating the action.

Causing another fit of giggles to come out of Lily which makes Mila smile widely.

Her smile alone has my chest feeling funny.

I need to control myself. I can't let anything happen between us. That's even if Mila likes me that way.

Most likely not especially if she seeing three men at once.

It shouldn't have but it turned me on. To know that she loves being shared by three men but imagine it being four.

Nathaniel asked me out for lunch which I kindly declined since I'm busy studying for finals while trying to take care of Grayson and Lily that are wobbling around the place like it's a playground because Rowan had to go to some special meeting.

And will only be back in the next five hours which means he'll be back at four.

"Ma-ma." I hear making my head shoot up as I feel someone cling to my legs.

Looking down I see Lily staring up at me with her adorable smile on her face.

I wish Rowan was here. He'd know what to do next. Because I don't want to pick her up and then she think I'm responding to her not that a baby thinks that but still.

Sighing in defeat I pick her up and place her on my lap.

"I'm not your mama, baby." What am I to her anyways. I can't say a friend or aunt. Just someone who knows her dad or is associated with her dad.

"Mama!" Now it's Grayson whose saying it as he attempts to run towards us but falls on his face and just lays there and then looks at me then back at the floor before he starts crying.

He's so dramatic, he's going to be the end of me.

Laughing to myself, Lily giggles up at me as I get up and pick up Grayson and comfort him until he eventually stops crying.

"No run. Okay." To which he nods his head like he understands what I'm saying.

Rowan has been back for about an hour already and has been cold and closed off to me.

When he saw Lily he took her away and grabbed Grayson as well, walked to his room and shut the door.

Then I heard them crying for me and he didn't do anything.

And I'm guessing that they fell asleep because their cries stopped about ten minutes after.

He then came out and ignored me once again even when I spoke to him so I've decided to leave him alone.

It's now eight o'clock and they woke up again and ran after me but then Rowan pulled them away from me making me frown.

"Did I do something wrong?" I ask as he avoids eye contact and doesn't answer.

He goes to leave so I gently grab his arm but he pushes me off making me fall to the floor.

Hitting the floor with a thud. "Ow!"

He doesn't even bother apologising and Grayson tries running to me again as he starts to cry but once again Rowan snatches him away and leaves to his room before locking the door.

Why is he acting like this?

Deciding that I'm not going to stay here if he's going to treat me like this, I pack an overnight bag and grab my things before shutting the door.

Not too long after, the taxi makes it to their building and the elevator opens but I see none of them in the kitchen or living room.

I check out their rooms but find nothing when I hear something from the room that they use when we do those um things together.

Walking to it, I open the door only to find the three of them half naked and in jeans and a women on the floor kneeling.

My breath hitches on my throat as my heart breaks.

Their heads shoot up, eyes wide. The women turns around and smirks at me.

Not wanting to be here any longer, I grip my bag tighter and run towards the elevator.

I hear their footsteps chasing after me but their not fast enough because the elevator doors are closing by the time I'm in their sight again.

"WAIT!"
