"Let go of me!" I attempt to yell.

"The sooner you stop fighting me, the faster this will go." My mother says.

I look over to Draco, in the same situation i'm in. My mother dragged my down here, his father drug him down here. The dungeons.

I can still hear the Death Eaters destroying the school above us.

It's only the four of us down here. I have no idea why they would bring us down here at a time like this.

"Savanna, you're almost seventeen." my mother states. "Only a few hours until then."

"Yeah? So?" I say.

"So, it means you need to act the grown woman you are and stop fighting against us. It's your job to fight alongside us instead."

I furrow my eyebrows. "How am I supposed to fight alongside people who are not only trying to destroy this school and murder innocent people, but also people who are after my daughter?"

"No one is after Hiraeth." My mother says.

"Bullshit!"

"Way too many people have been talking about her, it doesn't even feel safe for her to be around anyone anymore." Draco says.

"She's only a newborn." I mumble.

"I know, Savanna trust me." she says. "But no one's after her, that's all in your head. You're a mother, you're gonna worry about that stuff."

"Why should I believe you? You don't love her."

She scoffs. "Maybe I would love her more if you didn't have her at the age of sixteen."

"What difference does that make?!"

She holds her hand out in front of her ordering me to stop. "I'm done arguing with you about this. You need to stand by us, because if you don't, he'll kill you. That's what happens when his followers disobey."

"We didn't even choose this, you made this decision." I look between my mother and Lucius. "Both of you, without even speaking to us about it first."

"Listen to me." my mother says, stepping closer towards me. "You had no choice. You're supposed to be on the dark side ever since you were born. Have your ever heard of Reine de la Mort?"

It's French.

Death Queen.

I shake my head.

"Are you." Draco says, pointing at my mother.

My mother nods. Then, her eyes transform. They glow white, a big contrast from her jet black hair. She lowers her head, and when she picks it back up, her eyes are back to their normal green color.

"I don't understand." I murmur.

My mother chuckles. "I am Reine de la Mort. That's the whole reason i'm a Death Eater. I was the first one Voldemort took. And then he took Lucius. I gained the title of 'Death Queen' when I obtained a strange power that allowed me to kill anyone I laid eyes on without even putting a finger on them. I'm the reason that you're one of us. When you were only a few weeks old, I took you to one of the meetings for the Dark Lord. You looked at one of the men there, and they dropped dead on the floor. You haven't done anything since. Your power only emerged when you were a baby. I don't know if you still have it, but your title will be Princess Death until the day I die. Then you will be Death Queen. That's why Hiraeth is a threat as your daughter. So either you come to our side and raise Hiraeth to fight with us, or the Dark Lord will kill all three of you without a second thought."

I stutter for a second. "Hiraeth is harmless. And so am I. Draco too."

Lucius steps up to Draco putting his hand on his shoulder. "Draco can be very harmful, can't you Draco?"

Draco shakes his head. "No father."

"No one better call me that vile name." I say.

"Every Death Eater knows who you are. I'd be surprised if they didn't call you that." she says, before turning to Draco. "Have you ever seen her eyes glow white?"

He shakes his head firmly. "Never. I've seen nothing but blue. The same for Hiraeth."

I'm a little annoyed with the fact she has to ask Draco instead of just knowing herself, because she's hardly been around me.

I step up to my mother and Lucius. "You can beat me and break me down all you want. But don't you dare touch my baby."

"I can't stop my wife when she's protecting a child." Lucius says. "She gets super protective and stronger than usual. But that doesn't mean the Dark Lord can't stop her."

"If you're going to kill someone, kill me. Not Hiraeth." I order.

"That's not exactly in my control, Savanna." My mother says.

"Well don't let him, damn it! Would it kill you to have a little mercy?"

She exhales sharply. "God, I can't deal with this." she mumbles.

I forcefully grab Draco's hand and apparate us, not wanting to argue with my mother any longer. Not to mention the fact that i'm literally a princess that has powers to kill someone with one solid look. I don't want to be a killer princess. So I won't be, no one can force me after all.

It's a lot to process right now, but the most important thing is keeping ourselves and Hiraeth safe so we can get out of here alive.

I put my face in my hands for a few seconds and try to calm myself down. When I pull them away, Draco looks confused and concerned.

"All I want is for her to be understanding." I say, blinking back tears. "Can you promise me one thing?"

"Of course." Draco says.

"You have to promise me that we'll get married after all this. Then we can run away and do whatever we want and live our own lives, with no one telling us what to do."

Draco smiles. "I promise." he says, then gives me a peck on the lips.

"I'm seventeen in four hours." I say. "Do with that information what you wish."
