"You're really happy today Daddy." Hiraeth says.

I love the way Hiraeth says "Daddy" in every sentence. She's really good at making sure I know she's talking to me.

"I am really happy today. Wanna know why?" I ask.

She nods quickly.

"I can't exactly tell you, because it's a surprise. But I can show you."

"Show me, show me!" She says jumping up and down.

She holds her arms up in the air, indicating that she wants me to pick her up. So I do, and I carry her all the way towards the balcony.

As soon as we're about to step out, I ask her, "Are you ready?"

"Yes, Daddy."

We step out and there's Savanna. Looking at Hiraeth with the most genuine smile in her face. I don't think i've ever seen her face light up so much.

Hiraeth's mouth hangs open. "Is that Mommy?" She asks me.

"Go see." I tell her, setting her down.

Savanna opens her arms at the same time Hiraeth does. "Mommy!" Hiraeth yells.

Savanna takes Hiraeth in her arms and picks her up of the ground. "Hi darling."

I stand in the doorway, watching them share this moment together.

When their hug releases, Savanna holds her and looks at her. "You're so beautiful."

Hiraeth smiles, pointing at me. "Daddy said I got it from you."

Savanna looks at me, finally letting tears roll down her cheeks. But this time, she doesn't wipe them away.  Our baby girl does.

"Don't cry, Mommy." She says.

"I missed you." Savanna says.

Hiraeth hugs her again. "I missed you too."

Savanna motions her hand towards me with her free hand. I smile and walk to them.

She runs her fingers through Hiraeth's hair. "You know why I love your hair?" Then she travels to mine. "Because your Daddy has it too."

Hiraeth giggles. "Daddy's face is red!!"

Savanna laughs too. "I embarrassed him."

"Yeah, I love your mommy so much that she makes my face red." I admit.

For some reason Hiraeth finds it really hilarious that my face gets red. Her giggle goes on for a while as Savanna and I look at each other thinking about how amazing we did with her. We really did create a perfect little angel.

God, I love them.

What incredible girls I have.

Hiraeth finally stops laughing. "How have you liked spending time with your daddy?" Savanna asks.

"Really really fun." She pats me on the head. "He's a good boy."

Savanna laughs. "He's a very good boy, yes. But be careful with what you say, his face might get red again."

Savanna looks at me, and I think she's realizing how much she loves Hiraeth's laugh. She also looks at me like she's apologizing for embarrassing me.

She leans in and kisses me on the cheek. Then Hiraeth looks at me like she's confused.

I lean down to her level, and point to my cheek.

She leans in and kisses it too.

"Okay, I forgive both of you." I say with a smile.

Savanna falls to her knees with Hiraeth and I go with them. "I love you both so much."

Hiraeth hugs her. "I love you so much too. And Daddy does too, he really really does."

I wrap my arms around the two of them. "I sure do."

Yeah, I think i'm completely back to life now.
