I stand in the lodge watching as kids eat their lunch, hugging and saying their goodbyes to the friends they made over the summer. Even though they're all getting on the same bus. They all had their bags packed and resting by their feet. The bus should be here any second to take them home.

It's been a long summer, but probably the best one I've ever had. My eyes scan the room until they find Dylan and Nick. They seem to be deep in conversation. I'm sure my um, boyfriend, I guess. Is counting the minutes till he gets his phone back. I check my watch to confirm the time and am correct when saying the bus should be here soon.

"Andy! Andy!" An excited voice calls to me and I look down at Sam who grabs my arm, lightly tugging on it. "Easy, Sammy, where's the fire?"

"Come on!" He pulls me toward the table full of my campers and they all call to me in greeting making me smile. "Randall, go get Dylan, please." He nods at Sam and gets up from his seat racing over to grab Dylan's hand, yanking him away from a confused Nick.

"What's going on?" Dylan asks as he's dragged over to the table and I shrug to show I have no idea. "We want you to sign our camper pamphlets." My smile grows as all the boys hold up their little booklets given to them for their last day. It's supposed to be a little souvenir of their time here.

It's thanking them for coming and hoping that they had a good time. It's also filled with info on all the fun stuff they did this summer so they can show their parents. Not to mention pics taken during the activities we planned for them to keep for as long as they wish. And before they were made, kids took pictures with their favorite counselors.

Me and Dylan were pretty popular because of our fun and laid back natures. Then it was Kaitlyn, Abi, Nick, Emma, Ryan, and Jacob coming in dead last. But some kids agree he was pretty fun too. And I think Ryan's ghost stories kind of scared the kids off him a little. "Oh, sure thing little dudes," Dylan says and takes a pen offered to him by Garrett.

Owen excitedly waves a pen in front of me and with a smile I take it. He flips to the clean page meant for signatures, kind of like a year book. It was filled with a bunch of names from the other campers, but there's still plenty of space. I lean down and sign my name. For every camper I add a little sentence unique for each boy.

I've come to know a lot of them pretty well and I tried my hardest to make camp fun for every single one of them. "Thanks," they call to us when we finish and I nod. "No problem," I tell them and Dylan nods in agreement. "Um, Andrew?" I turn around at the sound of a shy voice. I smile politely down at Izzy as she holds her pamphlet up to me.

"Will... will you sign it?" I chuckle nervously and rub the back of my neck, ignoring Dylan's elbow nudging me teasingly. "Sure, Izzy." I take it and the pen she holds out and open it, signing my name. She smiles brightly and thanks me before rushing away to her table.

"Told you so."

"Shut up."

"Make me," he dares and I roll my eyes. If we weren't surrounded by kids I'd do just that. But of course, I'm not gonna kiss him here. So far the only one I told about me and Dylan was my dad. And Dylan told Ryan. He said and I quote that he needed to gush about me to someone and Ryan was his only other friend.

Throughout August I've been trying my hardest to overcome my shy and timid nature when it comes to our intimate relationship. And I think I've gotten better at it, but sometimes I'm still caught off guard by the affection that Dylan gives me. I mean, I was barely able to have one friend and I wasn't really mentally healthy enough to have any boyfriends.

And by the time I was I was already in love with Dylan. That didn't stop him though given his... experience. The memory of the pool house pops into my head and my face flushes. I quickly dispel it from my head before something truly embarrassing happens.
