Julia's P.O.V.
I kept thinking about what Ashton told me. If I really thought into it, if I hadn't stopped him, he probably would've fucked me like any other girls he took home because of how drunk he was. It made me seem him a different light. Maybe a year physically apart from each other was a huge change. I just never thought he'd be one of those guys.
Today was the day that all five of us were leaving for America. A place that the guys hated oh so dearly nowadays regardless of how amazing their adventures there were before. Instead of telling my parents the truth about leaving, I told them that it was a vacation and they totally supported it. They knew how hard I was working to make the money that I was sending them, but they never knew everything that was actually going on and hopefully they would never have to.
"Are you ready to go? We're picking you up in ten," Luke spoke over the phone as I packed up the last of my things into my luggage. "Yeah, I'll wait out in the front," I told him before I hung up.
I took in a long breath at the sight of what was actually happening. Everything seemed to be moving a lot quicker than I intended to, I was leaving the country for gods sake, all for a boy who I honestly thought I had a chance with, for my best friend. How cliche.
When the guys and I reached the airport, a flood of fans came storming to send their goodbyes to them. Security seemed desensitized to all the commotion since this was normal whenever the guys were jetting off to different places of the world, I just never thought I'd ever get in the middle of it. The second I stepped out, Luke was quick to follow behind me and kept a safe hand placed around my waist as we walked through the crowd; Mike, Cal, and Ash all took their time to stop for fans, but Luke seemed to be trying his best to ignore them.
The squad of security and body guards kept a safe perimeter around the both of us while the other half remained with the rest of the guys who decided to stay behind as we went through bag check and safely into the actual airport. The two of us waited at the chairs outside of our terminal for our flight to begin boarding and also for the rest of the guys to catch up to where we were. However, I couldn't help but question Luke about his actions. He didn't have to watch me, I had a full set of massive grown men surrounding me against the group of small girls so he knew that I didn't need him, but it was obvious that the fans wanted to meet him.
"What was that all about?" I nudged him once he took off his headphones to look at me. "What?" He asked. "You know I can take care of myself, you could've met all the people screaming your name," I told him as he shook his head.
"No thanks," he said
"No thanks? They were screaming your name for a reason, they wanted to meet you," I reasoned
"Well I didn't want to meet them," he replied as I looked at him with clear confusion. He owes them everything, even I know that.
"And why is that?"
"You wouldn't understand,"
"Try me,"
"Just drop it, Julia," he sighed but I was not one to give up that easy
"No Luke, tell me," my stubborn side called out as he groaned
"I said to just drop it," he placed his headphones back into his ears to block me out
"Great. Ignore me too," I muttered as Cal, Michael, and Ashton finally met up with us
"They never stop asking about him," Calum said referring to Luke and the fans as he sat down next to me "
I wouldn't either if my idol was completely shutting me out," I said as Luke had his music on blast so he couldn't hear either one of us
"Flight 429 ready for boarding!" The flight attendant announced as she opened the double doors leading up to the plane. All four of us got up except for Luke who couldn't hear anything at this rate, but I held out my hand as a small peace offering for him to take and helped him get up from his seat.
"Still not dropping it," I told him once he took his headphones off to enter the plane
"Didn't expect you to,"
Josie's P.O.V.
I woke up the next day with a text from Andy telling me to meet him at the record store in a few hours which I was fairly confused about but pleasantly surprised. It was just nice to have plans again and get out there in the world, and the only downside about this situation was that he lived probably an hour out from my location, but it was a great excuse to get out of town without being bombarded by people getting in my business.
I got to the shop at around 11 in the morning and was greeted by a noticeably nervous Andy at the front. He was cute to say the least, I never experienced a guy who seemed genuinely nervous to be around me, considering the show business, all the guys I knew exuded a type of a confidence that you don't find in regular people, maybe that's what annoyed me the most about this life style. There was only a small amount of people who were actually real and raw in my world.
"So what do you have planned for us today?" I questioned walking next to him as he led me to his car
"Well, there's this area just outside of town that I like to go to to get away from everything and there's usually only a few hikers who come across it, but I have my sister setting up a really nice lunch for us there, she really just wanted to meet you," he explained
"That sounds really nice, I'd love to meet her too," I smiled as he opened his car door for me. The second we got out I could feel a wave of peace wash over me. It had been a while since I was out of the city so it was nice breathing in the fresh air and actually seeing nature for myself even if it was fairly cloudy outside. When we got to the location, I saw Andy's sister let out a silent squeal as we walked up to her and where she set everything up.
"Oh my god, I didn't believe it when my brother told me he actually met you," she breathed once we got to her and engulfed me in a hug It took a second for her to release but I didn't mind. It was actually quite comforting to meet someone who knew me and didn't hate me for what they think I did.
After she left, Andy and I took a seat at the picnic that he had her set up and I just felt a sense of relief at the thought that I could actually let myself go here with him. "So last night you were talking about the celeb lifestyle, what's that like?" he asked. "Well at first it was pretty simple, when I started out I just wrote music and got to work with some of my idols which I couldn't be more grateful for, but as I got older, the more complicated it got with media and everything. You just need to get away from it sometimes," I explained. "Well hopefully this can be your little getaway," he smiled.
The rest of the date was all I could've ever wanted to be honest. Andy was a great guy and all, but I still couldn't help but feel like something was wrong, I don't know whether it was him or me, but I didn't get a spark regardless of how great we were going. Unfortunately, the date had to be cut short because rain began to fall in the middle of it. We couldn't just leave all the picnic stuff out, so by the time it started pouring, the two of us were drenched in an attempt to bring all the stuff into his car.
"Shit, sorry for all this," Andy apologized as we started driving back into town
"Don't even worry about it, I don't mind,"
"I'd feel bad if you had to go back home in soaking wet clothes, how about you borrow some of mine at my place so we can dry off?" He suggested
I wasn't really look forward to driving an hour and a half back to LA like this, so I accepted his offer. When we got home, his mom was at work and his sister was at a friend's house so apparently we had it all to ourselves.
"It's so nice here," I told him as I admired all his family pictures while he went into his room to get clothes for me to borrow
"Compared to your life this should be nothing!" He said coming back out and handing me some clothes
"It's everything," I said quietly and mostly to myself. I didn't hate my life, I just wanted a break. I wanted to be with my family, people who loved me and wouldn't judge me for all my mistakes. But I couldn't because of how much I had going on with writing my next album. He led me to the bathroom where I changed into the big tshirt and boxers that he gave me. And handed him my clothes to put in the dryer.
"So what are we thinking, Netflix or Netflix ?" He asked plopping down onto the bed of his room while we waited for the clothes to dry
"I'm gonna go with Netflix,"
