Chapter Twenty-One

Josie’s P.O.V.

The next thing I knew my eyes fluttered open to bright lights

"Josie, Jojo," I heard Luke’s familiar aussie accent from above me

I found him looking down at me as my head was laying on his lap on a couch inside one of the dressing rooms of the venue

"Hey," I let out a small smile before a massive headache rushed over me making me cringe

"She gets tackled to the ground and wakes up smiling," Ashton said as I turned my head to face them

Calum, Michael, and Ashton were all sitting next to us on the coffee table as I sat up next to Luke

Bad idea

The headache turned into a feeling of lightheadedness as I got up making my head hurt even more

"Don’t try to move too much, you got hit pretty hard Jo," Calum said

"Are you alright?" Luke asked placing his hand on my thigh while staring at me

"Ye-yeah I’m good, just explain to me what happened please I’m still kinda out of it," 

"All I know is a fan jumped on stage and ran into you," Michael said

"Like intentionally? Or was she just excited? I’m so confused right now what the hell," I rubbed my temple hoping to sooth the throbbing pain against my skull

"So I blacked out on stage?" I asked

"Yeah but Luke carried you off stage once they turned the lights out," Calum said

"Did you guys finish the concert?" I asked making them all laugh at me

"You get rammed into so hard that you blacked out and you want to know if we finished the concert?"  Michael asked

"Shhh not so loud," I groaned at their laughter covering my ears as if it would help muffle the loud noises from making my head hurt even more

"Can we talk alone for a second?" Luke asked the guys once he saw how bad I was feeling

They all filed out closing the door behind them as I leaned my elbows onto my knees closing my eyes to try and relieve the pain

Luke’s hand rubbed up and down my back before moving up to my shoulders rubbing them gently

"I swear that girl could be a linebacker," I laughed moving my hair to the side to give him more room to work with on my shoulders and back

"Are you really okay Josie? We could get you to the hospital right now," Luke said keeping his voice in a more serious tone than before when the guys were still around

"Don’t worry about it, I’m okay," I reassured him

In all honesty, there was still pounding going on in my head, but whatever Luke was doing with his hands was making it go away. I don’t know why it was working though, he had large rough calloused hands from playing the guitar daily, but he still knew every place to work at to make me feel better

"I’m sure I’ll be even better if keep working on my back," I hinted making him let out a deep chuckle

"Come here," he spoke pulling my waist so he could place me between his legs on the couch as he continued to rub my sore muscles
