As I allowed my curls to dry within my white cotton shirt, I was applying a simple poppy lipstick shade on my lips. I was wearing my favorite white off shoulder blouse with a pattern of tiny faded pink flowers, and of course my pencil skirt that was knee lengthen. I definitely looked perfect tonight for the Valentines Party that Tony was hosting, if only I had a date with me. I sighed and shook off my feelings, tonight didn't have to be about romantic love, there was also platonic love! Thank god I was able to convince Jessica to tag along, even if she wasn't big on the idea of attending big gatherings. As I gently removed my hair out of the shirt, I heard my cellphone buzz. I looked down at the sink, and saw the contact: JJ. I laughed, and picked up the call "Yes ma'am, I am ready to go. Are you?" "You bet your ass I am. I am already downstairs. Hurry Up! The faster we get there; the more time I'll have to get drunk off of the Asgardian liquor". Jessica quickly said as she hung up the phone. I rushed out of the bathroom, placed on my kitten heels and walked out of the door. Thankfully I lived on the second floor of the building, so Jessica wouldn't have to grow impatient. I rushed through the main lobby, into the main street. Jessica sat in her purple corvette with a lollipop in her mouth, I eyed Jessica and she began to howl like a mad wolf on a full moon "That's my girl! Argh, look at you! I could just eat you up right here and now". She complimented me, I blushed and began walking towards her. Jessica halted me, and howled out again "Wait a minute baby, do a little spin for me. You look so good from the front that I can almost see it from the back". "Jessica! Oh my god stop; we're going to be late!" I exclaimed, Jessica laughed and turned on the engine. I stepped into her car, and felt my skirt slip up a bit. Jessica once again teased me "Jeez baby, maybe we should go late. Or how about we skip the party and I can take you downtown?" I began laughing and playfully smacked her chest "Oh come on Jess, let's go pick up the pizzas I ordered at Dino's. I do plan on getting drunk but not on an empty stomach." I explained. The last time I got drunk without food, wasn't the best idea. Before Jessica buckled up, she said "Oh lord, you humans and your weak alcohol tolerance" I rolled my eyes and she sped through traffic.
~20 minutes later~ Jessica parked right in front of Dino's Pizza, and threw aside the stick of her lollipop, Jessica looked so good herself, she had a nice V-neck black little dress with her usual leather jacket. I grabbed my purse, and turned to Jessica "Okay 20 pizzas, but is there anything else I should get? Do you want anything?" I asked just trying to reassure myself that I wasn't being rude, Jessica rolled her eyes "Yeah, I'd like your pretty ass to go get the pizzas, and come back to me in one piece. If any creep-o begins to bother you don't forget to holler baby". I nodded my head, and walked out of her car. Once I stepped into the pizza parlor, the beautiful basil aroma consumed me for a moment. The place wasn't as packed as I suspected, but there was line. Meanwhile I stood in line for my turn, I admire the little restaurant. Far in the corner, I could see two cute teenagers sharing a plate of pasta. The youthful teen accidentally covered the corner of the lips with tomato sauce, their partner laughed and began attacking them with small pecks of kisses across their face. Both teens squealed with joy, and I just felt my heart could burst. I admired their beauty of not only being so young and innocent, but being probably each other's puppy love. I was so drawn in by their cute moment, that I had not noticed that I sighed loudly. My own longing sigh caught my own attention, and I prayed that no one else heard me. But to my own luck someone did. "Cute, aren't they?" a gentleman with a thick New Jersey accent said behind me. I slightly turned around, and my eyes was caught by their beautiful toothy grin. I quickly snapped out of it, and said "Yeah, yeah they're really cute! Oh, Valentine's Day is so adorable." The man nodded "It is a very special day, especially if you have a date for this occasion". He said to me, but I felt my heart tug at me a bit. He may have sensed the change in my emotion, he quickly said "Or hey, you could always spend it with friends." I smiled and nodded "Yeah tonight is definitely a friendly Valentine's day. This year, I was not so lucky to have a romantic one" I admitted and gazed down toward my heels. Why was I being so embarrassingly open with this stranger? The man continued to observe my facial expressions, and body language, I quickly picked up the conversation again "But um, I assume that you have a Valentine?" I questioned a bit awkwardly, he chuckled and said "No miss, no Valentines this year. It's really a shame that you don't have one this year either. You are quite beautiful". I felt my cheek flush for a moment, the man then added in as he removed his cap "Excuse my boldness, my name is Jake. Jake Lockley" and stuck out his hand. I stared at him for a moment, and saw his features perfectly now. In the sunlight that was coming through the glass window of Dino's Pizza, I could see his beautiful arched eyebrows, soft yet thin lips and his brown syrup brown eyes. I nearly gasped but I shook his hand in mine, his hands felt rough but they held a soft touch against mine, I then said "My name is Y/N, pleasure to meet you Jake." Before he could say something, the cashier called out "NEXT!" and I moved up to make my order. As I told Jessica back in the car, I ordered 20 pizzas with different flavors and some of them had veggies, you never know who might be trying the vegetarian diet. Only to my dismay, the cashier told me that since it's a large order, they would have it delivered. I sighed and said "Okay, that's fine just please make sure that please get them there before 6:30pm? The guests will get hungry." The cashier reassured me, that they would have it delivered around that time, I gave them the address to Stark Towers and paid the amount. Before I could pass by Jake, he gently grabbed my arm "Will I be able to see you again?" he asked me sweetly, I could smell his cologne roll off of his skin. I warmly smiled, and said "Yes we will Jake. I'd really like to see you again". Jake handed me his business card, and tapped his hat towards me. I walked out with a smile, and saw that Jessica was eyeing me "What's with the smile there L/N?" "Nothing Jones, don't worry. By the way, they'll be delivering the pizzas to Tony's compound." "Oh thank god! Woo! Let's go honey." Jessica said as she started her engine, and rolled off into the street towards Stark's Tower, As Jessica drove through New York, I couldn't help but to make my heart warm with the encounter I had with this Jake.
~10:30 pm ~ Around this time, everyone was already starting to become buzzed but thankfully the pizza had come on time. Natasha was talking about her relationship with Bucky with Wanda, and Jessica snickered off with Matt Murdock to probably sneak a few bottles away from Thor and Loki. Tony was in the center of this huge group, along with Rhodey, and Steve Rogers. As for Dr. Banner, he was coming up with new cocktails with none other than Dr. Strange. Everyone was having a good time, including myself. I held my second drink, in between my fingers as I listened to different conversations. I admired the superhero life that these guys led, and I was so lucky to have them in my life. But oh, seeing Nat and Bucky stealing kisses from each other was too cute not to gush over. I sipped my drinks a few times until I saw Vision walking over towards me "Hey Y/N, having a good time?" he asked me, I smiled "Why of course, I am with my friends! What more could I ask for?" I kind of contemplated out loud, Vision wasn't too convinced "I know you don't have a Valentine this year but Wanda and I have a surprise for you tomorrow. If you don't mind?" He asked me so politely. I patted him on the back and mouthed thank you. Vision smiled, and grabbed my empty martini cup to fill it up more. I sat on the soft couch when all of a sudden Tony says "Hey guys! Someone's at the elevator. Can someone-" I cut Tony off "Don't worry bud, I got it. Stay put". I walked over to the elevator and was preparing to greet a new face. The elevator doors slid open, and a giant bouquet of roses was covering the guest's face with one hand, and in the other, they were holding a heart shape pizza box. I laughed, and said "Well what a beautiful arrangement of roses. I wonder who are those for!" "Son para ti Hermosa". The guest said and lowered the roses to see their face. My mouth gapped a bit open, and I was staring at none other than Jake Lockley. He stepped out of the elevator, and handed me my gift "Oh my god Jake, you didn't have to!" Jake shook his head "Of course I did, a beautiful woman deserves a garden of roses." I blushed, and for a moment I questioned how he got my address. Tony approached us, and loudly said "Hey guys! Look who's here! Moon Knight!" Tony gladly took the heart-shaped pizza box and greeted Jake. The guests roared with cheers and began calling us over. I looked over at Jake, in shock. He was The Moon Knight? Jake winked at me, and gently placed my arm into his "I'll explain later...at my place if you'd like." He whispered into my ear, I giggled softly and nodded my head. I kissed his cheek "I would very much like that. Happy Valentine's Day handsome" "No thank you for being my Valentine, my Dulce Reina". Jake this time kissed my lips softly. Even from his lips, I could taste the sweet honey liquor. After pulling away, I felt already slightly buzzed. Jake and I walked toward the party and got a few excited glances. But I didn't notice since I was falling head over heels having Jake next to me. Yet from afar Jessica whispered to Matt "20 bucks that Y/N gets laid ". Matt laughed as he took a shot of his drink "Deal". The rest of the night was filled with laughter and silly daring games.
