Marc walked into the cool bookstore, it was springtime so it made sense why the air conditioner was on. "Remember to look for Searching for the Lost Tombs of Egypt by Chris Naunton" Steven reminded  Marc once more before walking into the Egyptology section of the book store.  "Yeah yeah Steven, I know. But are you sure you don't want another book? Perhaps we read about Norse mythology?" Marc whispered under his breath, trying to convince Steven to pick a new hobby. Jake chuckled as he announced "Amigo, don't even try it. Meanwhile, you're here could you check out a new cooking book for me, or I don't know see if  Midnight Sun was released already??"   "You guys are unbelievable, yeah don't worry Jake. I got you too! I am going to find something for myself too." Marc mentally responded to himself as he walked by a few people crowding around the bookstore. Marc smiled at a few people but refused to make eye contact. It's not that he didn't want to be social but he just didn't know how to keep up with a conversation. But Marc wasn't going to be rude either, if anyone glanced at him, he'd throw in a quiet soft smile and continue walking. The best thing about a bookstore is that people were within their own world, and no one really cared. And not in a rude way, but they were so indulged in their own fantasy world. Marc quietly passed through the aisles, enjoying his free time. He would get to Steven's section soon, but he wanted to check out some books about collecting Baseball Cards. Marc grabbed a book and skimmed through it. He softly smiled, remembering how he would collect baseball cards and then show them to his brother. Before the incident, things were sweet between him and his family. Marc continued to gently flip the pages and reminiscence about his childhood. One page in particular almost made him burst into laughter, the page contained the trading baseball card of Hank Aaron. When Marc was younger, he was going to trade in that baseball card for another one for his classmates, but his brother ended up drawing on it. Marc and Randall had such a fight about it, but in the end, they both apologized and shared an ice cream cone. Marc withheld his laughter but a few tears did slip out. He missed his family but knew that things weren't the same anymore. Marc closed the book and placed it back on the shelf. As Marc took a few steps toward the Egyptology section, he heard a loud thud on the floor. Marc turned around, utterly confused, and saw that someone had fallen to the floor. Before Marc could react, the girl sat up and sighed. "Oh fucking great, I dropped the books" She quietly cursed to herself, Marc stared at her for a moment and didn't notice that she caught his eyes. She gasped, and a light red flushed her cheeks.  "Uhh, please tell me you didn't see that." Marc stared at her but began to laugh to himself. The girl couldn't help but laugh as well. It was quite funny that she had fallen in the middle of the floor out of nowhere. Marc paced towards her, and lend out a hand  "These damn ghost boulders are terrible, aren't they? It's been real trouble lately, and making people trip wherever they go."  Marc sarcastically remarked, the girl took his hand and was lifted up. "Yeah, I tripped over one of the ghost boulders, they got me good this time." She joined in on the joke and began to collect the books. Marc quickly shuffled to kneel down, "Here, let me help you". The girl nodded, and they both picked up the 6 books she had collected. Once they were collected, each held 3 books in their hand, "So, you're doing a project? I assume, with these many books?" Marc questioned, she nodded her head eagerly "Yes! It's my final year of high school, and have to write about how economics has changed throughout time. I wanted to write about Ancient Greece but everyone just might pick that ass well. I changed my mind, I kind of wanted to write about Ancient Egypt or Yorubaland. I just might go with Yorubaland since people rarely EVER talk about it, but I was curious to see what's in the Egyptian section." She explained, Marc stood quiet until the girl said "Oh I am sorry, I just spoke your ear off. I should be heading off to find those books." Marc shook his head "Actually no, I was heading that way too. Perhaps we can help each other? I am looking for an Egyptology book for my friend Steven, and Ummm Midnight Sun for another friend." Marc spelled out embarrassingly the last part, the girl snickered and asked "Midnight Sun? Oh, I know where to find that! Oh my god is your friend team Edward or Jacob?"  "Yo soy team Charlie y Angela, they were the most nontoxic characters in the series." Jake said to Marc. Marc rubbed his neck, and laughed as he said, "My friend Jake is team Angela or Charlie". The girl's eyes widen as she responded with "Those are good characters! I actually enjoyed Angela, too bad she didn't have enough scenes in the book or movies. I am actually teaming Carlisle" Marc smiled as a response, and they finally got to the Egyptology section. The girl look at Marc, and took out her hand as she spoke, "Well it was nice to meet you, well more formally." Marc raised an eyebrow "More formally?" He asked, "Yeah, we live in the same building but never got a chance to say hello! So, I guess nice to meet you neighbor, and good luck with finding your books." She said once more, as Marc took her hand to shake it. The girl skipped away to find her books, and Marc went to go find Steven's and Jake's stuff.  After some time, the teenage girl went to go buy her books for her research paper. She placed the 5 Yoruba books down on the register and was about to pay the amount. Until the cash register said "Oh no miss, your books are already paid! Some gentleman offered to have them paid for you. They even left a note for you." The girl was stunned, and took the white note in her hand, it read:

The girl smiled, and her books were placed in the gift tote bag

The girl smiled, and her books were placed in the gift tote bag. The girl was greeted by the sunset of the afternoon and walked back to the apartment building. As she crossed the street, she thought to herself "Maybe I should do something nice for my neighbor, one of these days".
