Headcannon: How The Boys Would React on a Bad Day

Summary: How Steven, Jake and Marc express/demonstrate that they had a bad day.

Steven:

1. As we all collectively know, Donna is a c*nt. She would definitely be the cause of our baby Steven being grumpy or extremely upset.

2. Steven would arrive home, not saying a single word but you'd be able to feel the gloomy grey cloud hovering over his head.

3. Steven would grumble things under his breath as he is removing a few articles of his clothing, probably even almost falling over from attempting to remove his shoe while standing up.

4. You ask if he needs help but he accidentally snaps and says "I can do it on my own. I am not a noob". There you would understand that it was work causing him to lash out a bit.

5. You would prepare dinner, and head over to the couch to watch something (on volume not to over stimulate him) and to grant him space

6. After a while, Steven drags himself to the living room. He'll watch you eating dinner and enjoying your tv show that you've been obsessed with for a while. And that's when it hits him, how blessed he is to have you in his life. He should not be reacting this way towards you.

7.Steven walks towards you, and lays on the couch. Allowing his body to sink into the couch and into your lap. At first your apprehensive, since you don't wish to overwhelm him but Steven grabs your hand and places it on his face. He wants to feel grounded and as if he isn't dream. He doesn't want his mind to wander off. He wants to stay here with you. Steven apologizes for being extremely rude and  begins to explain what happened today.

8. You stroke his hair as he explains and brush away his tears.

9. After his long rant, Steven apologizes once more. You hush him and remind him that having a bad day doesn't mean having a bad year.

10. Steven agrees and asks you if you could please hold him. How could you say no to him?

Marc:

1. Marc Spector is terrible at explaining or even expressing an inch of human emotion.

2. The moment he arrives home you can feel his brown piercing with heat like two hot charcoals.

3. You attempt to ask what's wrong but Marc gives you a sarcastic laugh. You knew where this was going.

4. "You think you could understand the shit that I have to deal with? You don't have to serve to a fucking god, Y/n. You get to live a NORMAL LIFE". Marc says, raising his voice at the end.

5. You become frustrated and turn towards him "You know what, okay fine I don't understand or I can't fit into your shoes. But that doesn't give you the right to raise your voice at me. You can easily talk to me but you never do. Whenever you have a bad day, you shut down and shut me out. I am not Wendy this." You explain as you grab your bag. Nearly regretting what you said.

5. Marc stares at you as you are almost heading out of the door. Marc grabs your hand before you can leave. You turn to look at him, and see a small gleam of tears at the edges of his eyes. You look away, but Marc pulls you into a embrace.

6. You don't hold him back but Marc slides down to the floor. Kneeling and holding you close to him. You can feel him shaking. You can sense that he is about to break. It was never your intention to trigger him but he shouldn't have been a prick.

7. Marc says through his tears "I'm sorry, you are right. You are right. I am being extremely rude and I have no reason to be mean to you, this isn't your fault. But please don't leave me alone. You don't have to be near me but please don't go."

8. You begin to massage his scalp as you say "Okay, I won't go but I'll be in the room. When you have collected yourself and you are ready to talk like an adult, you know where to find me."

9. You pull away from Marc and walk to the bedroom. It takes a while for Marc to warm up and talk about his feelings but he knows that he cannot keep drowning in his own problems. You guys are partners for a reason, not enemies. You aren't here to hurt him.

10. Marc to bring down his walls but he ends up curled up in a ball on the bed. You hold him against you, and reassure him that things will be okay. That you two will figure this out.

Jake:

1. Jake doesn't come that night. He avoids you at all costs.

2. He genuinely believes it's going to end badly or he is going to hurt you.

3. You send him multiple text messages. He can see his phone lighting up and it tugs at his heart not to answer you but he believes it for the best.

4. Jake goes out for midnight drives, until he has
calmed down. But he has thoughts of breaking it off with you or staying with you; for your safety. Jake feels as if he is a plague in your life.

5.  You send one last text, telling him that you love him and miss him. And to come home.

6. Jake allows the cold night to embrace his body because he needs to cool down. He is so upset for being pathetic and for being so sensitive.

7. But as every hour passes me can hear you and your advice going through his mind. Reminding him that it's okay to release your emotions. It's better than bottling it up.

8. 3am rolls around and Jake heads home to you because he cannot stand being away from you for too long. Even if it's a mission.

9. Jake enters the apartment. It's dark, and he knows that you left food in the fridge but what he needs is you.

10. Jake walks to the bedroom and sees you peacefully sleep. Jake quietly crawls into bed with you, and holds you against his chest. He truly believes he doesn't deserve you. He hopes one day you can understand and believe this too.
