You were curled up peacefully in Steven's bed as he was getting ready for work. Thankfully Steven had woken up before the alarm clock was setting off. Today was your day off and he wanted you to enjoy your slumber.

Steven placed on his grey jacket that was freshly out of the dryer since you were kind enough to take Monday chores this week. It was suppose to be Steven's turn this week but you had beat him to it. He was not going to argue with his darling since you wanted to treat him this week, and that he'll make up to you somehow.

As Steven grabbed his thermo coffee mug, Steven smiled and watched your chest slowly rise and fall against the bedsheets. He couldn't believe that such  a radiant person as you came into his life. His eyes traveled from your chest to your soft closed eyelids. How badly he felt like waking you up and holding you against his chest.

Steven would give anything up just to call off sick and hold you in bed but he did have duties to perform today. Donna would have his head impaled on a stick.

Steven rolled his eyes with annoyance but that didn't stop him from slowly walking over to you, and leaning down gently to press a soft kiss on your forehead.

Steven gently whispered against your skin "I'll be back home soon my darlin. I love you". Steven planted another small kiss and tragically had to head out and go to work.

During Lunch Break

The day felt slow since Monday tended to be not exactly busy. Parents were off at work or children were in school. Field trips didn't start until June, before the students were released for summer break. Along with tourists. This time of year, the museum seemed vacant yet gave an essence of tranquility.

Due to this fact, Steven was able to take an early lunch break because he had finished restocking the items in the gift shop. Steven was about to head his way out for lunch until he finally realized that his satchel seemed a bit bulky today.

Steven set his satchel on the counter, and unzipped it. There he found a lilac colored lunchbox. Steven slowly raised an eyebrow as he carefully opened it. To his surprise, his vegan burrito was neatly wrapped, with a colorful paper, and there were tiny snacks that Steven could enjoy like almonds and his favorite: thin mints from the Girl Scouts.

Steven's heart could feel that it was about to burst until he noticed a green sticky note under the burrito. Steven carefully pulled out the note and read it to himself

"I know you tend to forget to pack your lunch so I did it after you fell asleep. I hope you like the way I prepared the tofu for you. Have a great day at work my love. Je, t'adore." - Y/N

Now Steven's heart bursted into a million bubbles. He couldn't wait to come home to you and fill your face with kisses.
