-The Morning of Christmas Eve-
Steven rushed out of his apartment, he was once again late for the bus. He was lucky enough to catch it at the next stop light, but his shoes were soaked. Great, this day couldn't get any better. Let alone Donna had requested him to stay after hours to close up the museum for the Christmas weekend break. Steven climbed into the crowded bus and held onto the metal bar. Steven felt incredibly and awful exhausted, what time had he fallen asleep? "Te dije, that you should have gone to bed but no you wanted to read Egyptian Mythology: A Traveler's Guide from Aswan to Alexandria." Jake scowled at Steven. Steven rolled his eyes, he knew he should have gone to bed but he didn't care. He didn't mind staying up a few more hours to read, it doesn't hurt anyone to have extra knowledge. Slowly the bus became less cramped, but someone else was getting in. "Excuse me, sorry." This girl whispered as she climbed on the bus. She held a book against her chest and had a bag over her shoulder. She turned up to look at Steven and gave him a small polite smile. She stood next to him, which was odd since there were other spots available but Steven didn't pay much mind to it. Steven slowly began to feel his eyes close, until a soft voice spoke "Long night?" The girl asked. Steven snapped his eyes open, "What? Me?" He asked a bit confused. The girl shook her head "Yeah you, stranger. Did you have a long night? You're almost falling asleep standing, which I think would be considered a talent." Steven chuckled for a moment "Yeah it was a long night but it was my fault really. I stayed up late reading." He explained to the girl next to him. "Ah, one of those nights. I get you, I tend to do that but I didn't want to miss the bus". She explained as well. Steven softly shook his head, not sure what to say next to this girl. "Sorry how rude of me. My name is Y/n, and you are?" She said once again steering the conversation "Nice to meet you, Y/n. My name is Steven Grant, um work at the National Art Gallery." He said as more passengers began to leave the space. The girl turned around "Hey look there are seats for us. Do you want to sit down?" She offered kindly, Steven looked behind him and did see a few seats open. He was surprised to see that the bus was not as packed as usual, and decided to sit next to you. Y/n sat on the right side, placing her bag over her thighs and Steven sat on the left side.
They were quiet for a moment, just enjoying the sights that London had to offer. You were going to ask Steven if he was a tour guide at the museum but his eyes were closed. Your gaze softened, he looked so peacefully asleep. How could you wake Steven? His facial features had softened, but he still had a good grip on his coffee mug. You were going to sit back and enjoy the rest of the ride until the bus took a slightly harsh turn. Which made Steven's body sway, and accidentally lay his head on your shoulder. His head perfectly laid on your shoulder, almost as if the gods had created your shoulder for him to lean on. You gently smiled, and opened your book, trying your best not to wake Steven. After what seemed a few seconds, a small voice whispered into Steven's ear; "Steven, I think this is your stop?" Steven groaned softly "5 more minutes" Steven complained until he realized where he was again. Steven snapped his head up and looked confused. "Bloody hell! I am so sorry for falling asleep on you." Steven said apologetically. You waved it off "No no, it's fine come on, we're near the museum." Y/n said as she collected her items and helped Steven off the bus. Both of you walked out in the bleak morning. "Again I am so sorry, you didn't have to get off here with me," Steven said feeling bad for sabotaging your day. Y/n smirked as she said "I was actually supposed to get off here! I've been wanting to visit the Museum since I finally had the day off today! I am assuming you work here since you have the nametag on?" "Uhh- yes! I do work here" Steven said as cheerfully as possible "Nice! Could you give me a tour? I mean if you are available?" Y/n asked biting her lower lip, she did not want to impose or bother him but she really liked his vibe. "Oh, the thing is I am not a tour guide. Well not yet, I work at the gift shop but if you need help with anything, you're more than welcome to stop by?" He tried not to sound too eager, "Oh that's rubbish! I hope you become a tour guide one day. I'll pass by the gift shop if anything. Have a nice day Steven." Y/n said as she took her hand, Steven was getting lost in her smile
"Steven, shake her fucking hand weirdo." Marc remarked and Jake began to roar with laughter "Creo que alguien esta enamorado." Jake snickered.
Steven snapped out of "Sorry, long morning! Yes, thank you. I hope to see you around." Steven said as he shook her hand. Y/n tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear "I hope to see you around too." She said shyly, Steven smiled, but then he noticed he was still shaking her hand, he abruptly took his hand away "Sorry!" Y/n laughed "You're fine. See you around." She said as she waved goodbye and headed towards the museum. Steven stood there for a moment, just admiring the way she walked. Steven could have sworn that right now he was dreaming, he softly sighed as he watched her go inside the museum.
"We're going to be late Steven." Marc and Jake both chimed in, Steven quickly gathered his thoughts and ran up the stairs to clock into work on time.
