Pride Festival

I wrote this for Pride Month! Happy Pride Month everybody!

Mikes POV

I sat on the couch waiting for my boyfriend Will. We were going to a pride festival since it's June. Will begged and whined so I would take him. I couldn't possibly say no to him. Not when he's this cute! "Babe?" I heard him say. I took one look at him and I was in awe. He had denim shorts on with a gay pin at the bottom. He also had a rainbow sequin jacket on. Then he had a shirt that says LGBT rules! He looks so cute.

"Hey. You look cool." I said. "So do you." He said laughing. I wasn't going to go all out. I had a black shirt on that said in big white bold letters GAY AGENDA. It said Monday: Be gay in red. Tuesday: Tacos in orange. Wednesday: Be gay in yellow. Thursday: Be gay in green. Friday: Super gay in blue. Saturday: Super gay in purple. Sunday: Brunch gay. (I did look up pride stuff.)

"Let's go!" Will said dragging me out the door. It was going to be held in the middle of town. I'm actually pretty happy and a little surprised about the pride festival. I guess people have finally come to their senses and decided to let people love who they want to love.

We finally made it. There were pride banners and floats everywhere. I saw some drag queens. Will really likes them. Maybe because Max and El call him a queen. "Come on!" Will said pulling on my arm once again. "Look how cool this is!" Will yelled load enough over the everybody else. There was a lot of people here. "Can you get me a hot dog?" Will asked. "Sure." I said kissing the top of his head. He smiled as I walked away.

"Hey. Two hot dogs please." I said. The man handed the two hot dogs. I saw Will talking to somebody. "Hey babe. Who's this?" I asked. "Oh her names Sara." He said. "This your boyfriend?" She asked. Will nodded. "You here with somebody?" I asked. "Well duh. It would be boring if I came here alone. I'm with my friend who I have a crush on. But pretty sure doesn't like me back." She said getting a little sad. "Don't worry. I know what that's like." He said looking at me.

"How are you so sure she doesn't like you back?" I asked. "We've been from for so long. I'm pretty sure that's all she sees me as." She explained. "You won't know unless you try!" Will said positively. I chuckled. "Yea. I guess your right." She said. "Hey Sara." Someone said. "Well that's my cue. It was nice meeting you both. Will you have my digits." She said walking off.

"Well she seemed nice." I said putting my arm around Will's shoulder. He looked up at me. I could stare into those beautiful eyes all day. He lightly pecked my cheek. "Told you this would be fun." He said. "Yea yea." I said rolling my eyes.

I know this is short. I actually have no clue how pride festivals work. Never been to one! Would love to go though!
