"Ella!" Meredith yelled as she walked into the house

"Hi dear" Carolyn smiled as she walked towards the blonde "Ella and Amy are playing outside, she's been begging for you all day"

"I'll go check on them" Meredith giggled and hurried her way outside "El, Amy!" She smiled and went to say hi

"Mama!" Ella smiled

"Mer!" Amelia smiled

"Are you two having some fun?" Meredith asked as she sat down in front of the girls, Ella climbing in her lap, kissing her cheek softly

"Yes! Ella and I are building a city full of sand castles" Amelia giggled

"Really?" Meredith tickled Ella's stomach

"Yes" Ella giggled

"Will Markie be here soon?" Amelia asked Meredith

"Yes! And he's taking Addison with him, are you excited?" Meredith asked Amelia

"So excited" Amelia giggled "How was teaching?"

"It went okay. I had a few hours with my favourite class" Meredith smiled as she redid Ella's hair

"Amy!" They heard calling call out

"Coming!" Amelia yelled and ran inside

"Hey baby- Daddy's gonna be here soon" Meredith smiled

"Mama, I'm not a baby" Ella giggled

"I know! You're already four!" Meredith giggled and wrapped her girl in her arms, carrying her inside

"Does Nana have cookies?" Ella asked with wide eyes

"She does. But only if you eat a lot of vegetables" Meredith winked and walked into the kitchen where Amelia was helping her mother getting the food ready

"How was she today?" Meredith asked Carolyn

"She had a little tantrum when she had to take a short nap" Carolyn winked "But she's been okay. Wanted her mommy, though" Carolyn kissed Ella's forehead

"Mama" Ella whispered and laid her head down in the crook of Meredith's neck

"Take her to the living room, dear. You two should lay down a little" Carolyn rubbed Meredith's back. She had seen the younger woman had limped a little, something that never went away after she was pushed off the stairs by Ellis and showed when she was tired or had a long day

"Come, El. We're gonna lay down for a tiny bit" Meredith smiled and hid a yawn, eagerly wanting to go lay down with her little girl, she was completely exhausted after the long day

"Ma, we're home!" Mark yelled and ran inside with Addison and Derek

"My girls!" Derek smiled and went to kiss Ella's head, then moving to softly kiss Meredith's lips "How are you feeling?" He asked her, his hand stroking over her stomach

"We're okay" Meredith quietly whispered and kissed him back

"Good" Derek kissed Her forehead before walking to the kitchen to say hi to his mom and sister

"Mer, how have you been?" Mark smiled and walked inside, hugging her tight before saying hi to his niece

"It's been a long day. How was it at the hospital?" She asked before Addison walked inside

"It was amazing! I was helping during a c section!" Addison's eyes went wide

"And Derek scrubbed in on a neuro case!" Mark smiled as he sat down next to his sister, pulling his girlfriend on his lap

"And you, Markie? Did you help with a boobjob today?" Meredith giggled

"I built some ears" Mark smiled

"Well you helped" Addison chuckled and kissed him deeply

"True" Mark laughed

"Guys, dinner is ready" Carolyn smiled

"Thanks mom. It looks delicious" Derek smiled and helped Meredith and Ellis up to sit at the table

"Wow mom, you really did your best" Meredith giggled as she grabbed some of the food

"So yummy!" Amelia nodded

"All my babies are here, I had to make sure everything is perfect" Carolyn smiled

"Nana, you have cookies?" Ella asked with widened eyes, causing everyone to chuckle

"Of course, sweetie" Carolyn smiled "But you need to have some real food first" Carolyn said sternly

"Yes!" Ella smiled and started to dig in

"Anyone who wants some wine?" Mark asked as he grabbed the bottle of wine

"Wow ma! So fancy" Derek chuckled

"Oh shush, Derek" Carolyn laughed "I'm glad to have everyone here at the same time since you guys are interns" Carolyn smiled

"Derek?" Mark offered

"Yes please" He smiled

"Mer?"

"No thank you" Meredith shook her head

"Oh come on!" Mark said "Everyone is having a glass!" He smiled

"I can't. I- I'm pregnant" Meredith smiled and looked at Derek

"Really?" Addison gasped

"Really" Derek confirmed

"And you knew?" Carolyn gasped as she tickled Ella's stomach

"Yes" Ella giggled

"Oh congratulations!" Mark pulled Meredith in for a hug

"Thanks Markie" Meredith smiled and they all started hugging

"How far along are you?" Carolyn asked once they sat down again

"Almost three months" Meredith smiled and squeezed Derek's hand

"You'll do so great" Carolyn smiled at her both kids, being so proud of how all of her kids turned out, all of them making her proud

Despite how scared Meredith and Derek were, things turned out perfectly. Meredith couldn't imagine her life being any different, she was just so proud of her family, the one she made by choice, not DNA
