LINDY
Aria has apparently been seen back at the restaurant, and Cameron's charges were dropped the morning after we sent the footage. The police had called to inform him and mentioned that they don't take false accusations lightly, and something will be done. They shared their apologies for the whole inconvenience, but it did not seem that the lead investigator handling his case cared enough for Cameron initially since he was the accused. And in all fairness, it was a very tricky situation. There was nothing to justify his innocence.
But, the universe was on our side. Oh, Mr. Blue, how ever could we thank him?
The PI that Cameron hired had asked to meet with him this morning. I can only assume he has a shitload of material to share, and wants to be paid. Or, maybe he has nothing. Nate and I were going to meet the investigator with him, but only he can go now.
I have a commitment that I fully had forgotten about - a photoshoot for Anna's spring launch. A model she had dropped out, so she had no other choice but to look elsewhere for others. She wasn't happy with any of the auditions so she came to me. I was so appreciative of her consideration towards me, and I would love nothing more than to support her work. So I said yes.
I don't have much experience in the modelling industry. I've been to photoshoots for work, took up some jobs after I had Logan, but that's it. Merely an amateur in front of the camera, and the expert in working behind it.
Makeup free, I got myself dressed. An independent makeup artist would be at the studio Anna has rented, as well as a hair stylist. There was a knock at my door, and then someone entered.
"I pushed the meeting with the PI. Anna invited me to the shoot, so is it okay if I hitch a ride with you?" Cameron said.
Oh for goodness sake...
I didn't want him to come at all. To watch me model? To assist Anna? Doesn't he have work to do?!
He's the CEO of his family company. He can do whatever he wants.
"Of course! I'm ready to go now, so have you got all you need?" I answered. I grow nervous, uncertain about how I feel around Cameron's presence. I mean, it's not even his presence. It's my own feelings, at this point.
I need to confront them and get my head straight.
"Yeah, I'm set. Nate and Logan have just gone out, he said he'd take him to school since the meeting's later this evening now."
"Great." I said, plastering on a smile. He returned the gesture, probably genuinely, and the heat rising to my cheeks cause me to look down as I pass him at the door, walking in front.
Remember him saying how he'd really like to kiss... I assume, you? Hot.
I sigh dramatically, even my own subconscious is against me. I've never felt so guilty in my life.
"Oh, Nate took my car," I frowned, looking at driveway. He seems to enjoy driving my vehicle more than this own. But let's be real, my new BMW is much, much better.
"I'll drive," Cameron singsongs...
I plop myself down into the passenger seat of his car, seemingly moody. He types the address into the navigation system and begins to drive. I scrolled through emails, and bought a novel online. It wasn't long at all until we had arrived.
Among entrance, I was immediately welcomed by the stylist and makeup artist. They were discussing what looks they thought would go best for the element of the shoot itself and the collection, and asked for my critique.
