CAMERON'S POV

After that horrific date yesterday, I left in disbelief. I'd never met any woman like Sadie, and I hope it stays that way. I can definitely see why she is single. I'm pretty mad at Isaac right now too, I never would have had to go through that intense one hour and seventeen minutes if it wasn't for him.

Long story short, after I told her I had a son, the date just straight up went south. Her reaction to Logan was just disrespectful, saying how she'd never want children and hoped my own wasn't a nightmare. She was rude, really unusual and the way she dressed made me feel uneasy. I think she was a hippie. But before I left, she told me: "Don't know why I bothered. Our signs weren't compatible anyway,"

Like, really?

And to be fair, she had two cats. I'm allergic to cats, so it wouldn't work anyway.

I'm also mad because I'm going on one last date, that he managed to convince me to go on. This is for certain, the very last. If it goes well, which is unlikely, I won't have to deal with meeting any more boring women.

The only pro to this whole thing is that it does in fact stop me from thinking about Lindy for a short period of time. It does help. The smallest progress is still progress.

Today's date is a woman named Aria. Her biography didn't say anything, but she was local and my eyes averted straight to her boobs when she first came up. I liked the look of them, and her. She was a stunning red head and i didn't hesitate on swiping right. Let's hope this date is much better than the rest, because if it's not, I'm gonna have to bid a goodbye to Tinder. Dating is actually very difficult, especially when you're just as picky like me.

Isaac and Madison would be sad.

Through my speakers, my phone buzzes twice over the music signalling two messages as I shower. I make a mental note to check that after I'm done self prepping. I washed my hair and shaved. Once I had got out, I pushed my wet hair back and brushed my teeth.

My phone, that was next to the speaker on the sink, flashed again with an email. Below that, was the two text messages from a number I didn't have in my contacts, sent twelve minutes ago.

unknown number
Hey, it's Aria.
Looking forward to tonight. 😘

I raised my eyebrows at the texts, when I recall giving her my number on the tinder messages last week. She never texted me, but until Isaac and I scrolled through my matches again and I'd wanted to ask her out, she said yes and that she would contact me again later.

cameron
Hey. Likewise. x

She responded pretty quick.

aria
How's your day going :)

cameron
Pretty good, thanks. I'm about to have lunch and do some work.
you?

aria
Mine is great :)
Where do you work?

She doesn't know what I do? Interesting. As the face of a big business, competitors and the press are always up your ass, waiting for you to make a mistake that they can use against you. I'm pretty good at staying private and my company is even better at keeping business professional and certain things, confidential.

It's hard to get a job at King.
