LINDY'S POINT OF VIEW

Today is Anna's gender reveal. Everyone is so excited, Anna and Sam's families are getting together after some time and the guys have been betting on the baby's sex. Madison came to pick me up and we're about to arrive at Cameron's place. The party is being held here because of his large garden and with the warming weather, it will be spacious enough for all guests to sit, participate in the baby games and enjoy the sun. The cake and cupcakes are arriving at 10am, so while Madison cooks and collects that, Cameron and I will make all the other preparations outside.

Cameron deemed it warm enough for a barbecue, so the meat will be grilled on there for burgers, steaks and hot dogs. Other foods like potato salad and pasta dishes will be served too as well as finger picking foods like cheese, fruit, bread, and some savouries. All the food should be enough to fill stomachs for the day, because realistically there will be a lot more than needed and maybe some people will take leftovers home with them.

"You want a hot drink?" Cameron asked me, when Madison had left us and went to the kitchen.

"Tea, please." I answered. I'm always one to have hot drinks in this weather.

"I'll go make us some and bring it, so do you wanna get started outside?" He says, and I nod, taking the box of decor I had to hold it on my side with one arm and heading out to his garden. It looked exactly the same as I remembered, with a pool on the other side of the area while the front entrance to it was concrete with sun beds and a table and chairs, and well cared for grass.

I placed the box on the table and began doing what I needed to do.

I put the chairs out for guests to easily reach and sit on, pillows and a blanket on the grass, necessities for the table, and I heard the doors slide open as I was turnt in the other direction.

"Thanks, Cam, you can put it-" I say, turning to face him, but the him ended up being a her. A red haired woman stood there, smiling at me.

"I'm not Cameron," she lightly giggled.

"I can see that," I say, wondering who this was.

Cameron finally makes an appearance with both of our teas. "Aria! I didn't know you were here, yet. Otherwise I would have made you a drink too." He says, approaching her and kissing her cheek.

I scrunch up my face in confusion.

"Nice to meet you," I say to her, walking up to shake her hand and she pulls me in for a hug. I lightly and awkwardly hugged back, "Um, I'm Lindy."

"Lindy! It's so good to finally meet you too. I'm Cameron's girlfriend."

I look at Cameron and he looks at her. "Girlfriend? That's great!" I say, in shock. Not that his love life means anything to me, but since we're closely acquainted it would have been good to know.

Aria makes eye contact with him and smiled.

"Have you met my son?" I asked her out of curiosity.

"I have a few times, yeah. He's an amazing boy."

I nodded. "Thank you."

After that, it was some awkward silence. I took my tea that Cameron was still holding and sipped it to avoid standing like a statue in front of the two.
