After about an hour I slowly sit up and look over at Austin.

"Are you ready to go?" He asks.

"Yeah, I'm ready to get out of this dress," I answer with a laugh.

"Understandable," He says before getting up.

He comes over to me and before I can get down he picks me up and puts me in the passenger seat.

"What'd you do that for?" I ask.

"I didn't want you to hurt your feet. I took your shoes off and I don't know what else is on this ground," He answers.

"Well thank you," I reply.

He nods and gives me a smile before getting in the car. He starts driving the winding road down the mountain. When we get to the bottom Austin softly puts his hand on my thigh, not needing to use it for a moment and I smile over at him before lifting the arm rest and scooting over beside him. I move my dress out of the way so he can still shift gears then I rest my head on his shoulder and lightly hold his arm to not restrict his movement. He rests his head on mine for a second and I kiss his shoulder before slowly falling asleep. I wake up when we stop and notice that we're parked outside of my house.

"We're back already?" I ask, softly rubbing my eyes.

"Mhm, you slept basically all of the ride," Austin answers in a soft voice.

"Sounds like me," I reply with a laugh.

Austin gets out and softly picks me up before carrying me in the house and up to my room. He sits me on the bed then I stand up and start undoing the lace.

"Turn around," I say to him.

Austin chuckles and turns to face the wall. I slip the straps off my arms and the dress falls to the floor then I walk over to my closet and pick up the clothes I was wearing earlier. I put them back on, then grab a hair tie and my hairbrush.

"You can turn back around," I say.

Austin turns back around as I bend over and brush my hair down. I grab my hair and stand back up then I twist my hair into a messy bun before wrapping the hair tie around it. I walk over to him and rest my head on his chest, half asleep.

"Well let's get you in bed," He says.

He walks me over to my bed and tucks me in then he kisses my forehead.

"Goodnight, princess," He says.

He turns away and I softly grab his sleeve.

"Will you stay? I feel so comfortable sleeping next to you.." I say.

"Are you sure?" He asks.

I nod my head and give a sleepy smile.

"Okay, let me go get the pajama pants and change," He says.

"Okay," I manage to mumble out.

I hear him walk out then I turn over. After a few minutes I hear the door open and close but when I open my eyes I see Lee standing above me. I scream then he puts his hand over my mouth. I bite it then I get up and before I even realize what I'm doing I latch onto his neck. Austin comes up the stairs and opens the door, surprised at what he sees.

"Eliza, if you keep drinking, you're going to kill him," He says, trying to coax me off, "Do you really want his blood on your hands? Do you want to kill him?"

I look up at him and slowly pull away. Lee's body falls to the floor and I slowly back away from it. Austin runs over and checks his pulse.

"He's alive, but barely," He says, "Good thing is, you were able to pull yourself off of him."

He softly sits me on the bed then he walks to the bathroom and wets a rag. He brings it to me and softly cleans Lee's blood off of me. Summer walks in, having to get dressed after all of the ruckus.

"What happened?" She asks.

"Lee must've snuck into the house. I heard Eliza scream and when I got up here she was draining him," Austin explains.

"Is Lee the one who hit her?" She demands.

Austin silently nods while trying to see if there's any more blood.

"She said she didn't want you to kill him," Austin says before Summer can even touch Lee.

"He deserves it!" She says.

"I think so too, but she said that she understood why he got upset with her, and even if she'll never forgive him for hitting her, she doesn't think he deserves to die," Austin explains.

"Fine. I'll take him home then compel him to forget about us," Summer replies.

Summer picks Lee up and tears start falling from my eyes. Austin looks at me and wipes the tears from my face.

"Hey, hey, it's okay. You felt threatened so you attacked him, but you were able to control yourself and stop. You did good. Not many vampires would be able to control themselves with that fear," He says.

I slowly nod, trying to believe what he's telling me. I look up at him then softly rest my head on his chest. He holds me and softly rubs my hair. After a few minutes Summer comes back in with spray bleach, towels and rags to clean the blood off of the hardwood floor. I watch her as she wipes up all of the blood with one towel then sprays the area with the bleach before scrubbing it with a rag, getting up all the trace amounts of Lee's blood. When she's done she uses the other towel to dry the floor, then she picks everything up and takes it out of the room. I slowly pull away from Austin and crawl back into bed. He gets off the blankets and covers me up.

"I'm going to go lock all of the doors then I'll come back and lay down, okay?" He says.

"Okay," I respond.

He makes sure the windows and the balcony doors are locked in my room before walking out and doing the same to the rest of the house. When he comes back up he closes the door and walks over to the bed. He climbs in and I crawl over to him and wrap my legs around his. He holds me to his chest and softly rubs my hair.

"Can you teach me how to control my emotions? I don't want to be in fear of killing someone just because I'm scared or angry.." I ask.

"Yes. I promise you I'll teach you how to control your emotions," He says.

"Okay, thank you," I reply.

"It's no problem at all sweetheart. I'll teach you everything I know. I don't want you to be afraid to live your life," He says.

He kisses the top of my head and keeps rubbing my hair until I fall asleep.
