17- make you mine

Summer's pov:
Freddy has been acting really weird lately. He has been really quiet, and when we're alone, he hasn't been acting as much like himself. I can tell that Freddy has something on his mind, but he isn't ready to tell me.

I have stressed a few times that he might want to break up with me, but then I remembered that Freddy is completely and utterly in love with me.

I am staying at Freddy's house tonight, and he is oddly quiet. I turn to Freddy, who is staring at the ceiling. "Are you okay?" I ask, running my hand through his hair softly. Freddy breaks his gaze at the ceiling, and looks at me. "I'm fine." He smiles, but I can tell that he's genuinely faking it.

Freddy's pov:
"Are you okay?" Summer asks, and runs her hand through my hair. I turn to face her. "I'm fine." I fake smile, and Summer seems to buy it.

I can't take my mind off Summer. I have decided that I'm going to propose soon, but I'm scared of her reaction. What if she thinks we're too young?

-the following morning-

I open my eyes, and am surprised to see that Summer is gone. I notice a note on my bedside table. It says:

Dear Freddy,
I had to go, as I promised Tomika that I would come to her place to help her ask out her crush. See you later!
Love Summer♡

I'm kind of glad that Summer had to help Tomika, because I was thinking last night, and I decided that I need to buy a ring. Like, right now.

I get dressed and do my hair, then I drive to the local jeweller. After an hour or so of looking at every ring in the shop, I eventually find the perfect ring.

Summer's pov:
I was scrolling through Instagram, when I receive a message from Freddy.

Freddy😍: are u free tonight?

Summer💕: yeah

Freddy😍: can I take you somewhere

Summer💕: ofc❤

Freddy😍: k I'll pick you up at 7.

Summer💕: 💗

I look up at the clock. It's 6:15, so I decide to get ready.

I change into a red knee length dress, which was covered in sparkly sequins. I decide on some matching red heels, and apply some natural make up. Then I straighten my hair, and pull it into a high bun.

Seconds later, the doorbell rings, and I trip down the stairs to answer. Freddy was standing there, mouth wide open. "What do you think of my dress?" I ask. "I love it!" He grinned.

Freddy took my hand, and we walk to his car. I can't wait to see where we're going! We pull into the parking lot of my favourite restaurant.

An older woman seats us at a table for 2. Freddy and I talk a bit about the upcoming gig for the band, when he decides to go to the counter and order for us. While he's gone, a guy who looks only a little older than me approaches me.

"Can I help you?" I ask in a rude voice. The guy smirks, "Ooh, you're a fiesty one, aren't you?". I glare at him, and he just laughs. Out of the corner of my eye, I see Freddy turn around, and notices the guy talking to me.

As fast as lightning, Freddy was standing next to the dude. "Who is this, babe?" He death stares at the guy as he speaks.

The dude just rolls his eyes. "I am Raj Jerkins." He states. "Who the hell names their kid Raj?" Freddy murmured, and I couldn't help but laugh.

"Bye now, Raj!" Freddy growled, pushing Raj away. He sits back down, and kisses me passionately. I see Raj watch us in envy, and I can't help but feel bad for him. I mean, we could have been nicer! I pull away from the kiss, and smile uncontrollably.

After about 20 minutes, our food arrives. Freddy ordered my favourite dish for us to share, and not to be cliché, but I think it tasted better because I was sharing with him.

We finish off our food, then hop in the car again. I notice that we aren't driving back towards my house, and give Freddy a confused look. "Where are we going?" I questioned. Freddy grins uncontrollably. "You'll see!" He smirks. I couldn't help but grin as well. Freddy always knows how to make me smile.

We pull outside the school, and Freddy opens the car door for me. I give Freddy another confused look. Why are we at school? I mean, I love school, but it's not really my ideal date location.

Freddy takes my hand, and we walk up the steps. He then pulls a key out of his pocket, and unlocks the school. "Wear this." Freddy instructs, as he hands me a blindfold.

Once the blindfold is securely tied around my eyes, Freddy helps me through the school. I am so confused. Where are we going?

We went up some steps, then through a door. Finally, Freddy rips the blindfold off, and I'm immediately mesmerised. We are on the roof of the school, and it had been decorated with candles and roses.

"Oh, Freddy! It's beautiful!" I cried, then turned around to face Freddy. Who was kneeling with a open box.

Freddy's pov:
"Where are we going?" Summer questioned. I grin uncontrollably. "You'll see!" I smirk. I'm so nervous, no words can describe how scared I am. What if she says no? What if she thinks we're too young?

I ignore the thoughts, and continue driving towards the destination. We pull outside the school, and I open the car door for Summer. She shoots me a confused look.

I take her hand, and we walk up the steps. I pulls a key out of his pocket. Mr Finn let me borrow his key to the school, after I told him my plan. I unlock the school. "Wear this." I instruct, handing Summer a blindfold.

Once I made sure the blindfold is securely tied around Summer's eyes, I help her through the school. 

We walk up the steps, and through a door, on to the roof.

Ok, it's time. Don't chicken out.

I rip the blindfold off. I hope Summer likes the little set up I did, I spent hours doing it. I pull out the box containing the engagement ring, and kneel down behind Summer with it.

"Oh, Freddy! It's beautiful!" She cried. Summer spins around to face me, and gasps. I take a deep breath. It's go time.

"We have been dating since middle school, and these past 6 years have been the best ones of my entire life. A while ago, I realised that any guy would be extremely privileged to even meet you, and I am the luckiest man alive, to be your boyfriend. I may not know nearly as much as you, but I do know that I want to do this. Summer Breeze Hathaway, will you marry me?"

Summer stood there, frozen with shock. I bite my lip nervously. Oh god, what if she says no? She seems to snap out of her daze, and she jumps on me. "Yes, one million times YES!" Summer screamed, and kissed me.

We pulled apart, and I slid the ring on her finger. She looks at the ring admiringly. "This ring is perfect! I love it so much. And I love you." Summer kisses me passionately.

I can't believe it. I can't believe that I'm marrying the love of my life.
