𝐁𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬

Kirishima watches from his desk as you and Kaminari laugh and laugh, almost growing hysterical at some point. He can't help but let out a small sigh. He's never been able to make you laugh like that...

And there's a clear difference compared to the way you talk to him and the way you talk to Kaminari. You're more friendly and polite with Kirishima, but with Kaminari, you're a lot more outgoing, a lot more exuberant, a lot more...you.

You even act like yourself when you're with Bakugo, arguing and occasionally getting physical with him, punching him in the arm, or smacking him. And he always hits back, which sends you running and yelling, hiding behind Kirishima or Sero.

It's not fair. He was the one who talked to you first. He was the one who you befriended first, so why can't you be more comfortable around him?

Why can't you be yourself? He knows he's polite and kind to you, but that's just how he is. He doesn't want you to be polite or kind. He wants you to be you.

The you that talks loudly, the you that's aggressive and talks about beating people's asses, even though they're twice your size. The you that makes the same old 'your mom' and 'that's what she said' jokes, even when they get repetitive. The you that's all hyper when you talk about something you really like. That kind of you. The real one.

But for now, he's watching you laugh and laugh, tears streaming down your face, and you're holding your stomach tightly. Kirishima knows Kaminari's funny, but come on, is he seriously that funny?

"(Y/n), Kaminari, calm down, or else I'm moving you." The teacher tells you, getting you two to finally be quiet.

Even when you get quieter, Kirishima can still hear the two of you bickering, blaming each other for who was at fault for making the teacher mad. Somehow, you manage to finish your lab on time.

As the two of you walk out of class, you're still giggling to each other, like little kids. Kirishima is quick to follow behind. "So, what were you guys dying laughing at in class today?"

"Oh, it's stupid. It's just..Kaminari farted really loudly and basically everyone heard it. Did you hear it?" You ask with a chuckle.

"Nope," Kirishima replies. It's not like he could hear it over how loudly you two were laughing. "Damn, really? Because it was loud as fuck."

"It just slipped out okay? People fart all the time. It's a natural thing!" Kaminari exclaims, making you snort as you laugh again.

"I don't fart. Not in school at least. I always hold them in. And I bet Kirishima doesn't fart. He's too manly to fart." You tell him with a grin.

"Oh, Kirishima definitely farts. Like there was this one time, during first year, when he ate too many protein bars-" Kirishima puts a hand over Kaminari's mouth, shutting him up.

"Wait noooo I wanna hear the end of the story!" You whine, grabbing Kirishima's arm and trying to pull it off, but before you can, he pulls away.

"Ew, did you just lick me?" He wipes his hand on his pants, groaning in disgust.

Just as Kaminari's about to continue with the story, Bakugo joins in, and Kirishima can't help but let out a mental sigh of relief. "What're you extras talking about?"

"Farts, and who does them." You reply simply. Bakugo rolls his eyes. "Seriously? That's what you two were laughing at? What are you, five?"

"Farts are funny, okay?" And that begins a new quarrel between you and Bakugo, taking the conversation elsewhere.

Kirishima's just about to get into his car when he spots you and Kaminari walking across the road together. Frowning to himself, he shuts the door, relooking the car, and jogging over to you.

"Hey guys, what're you doing?" He asks, getting your attention, and causing you to look over at him.

"Oh, we're just going to walk over to the shopping center to grab something to eat. Wanna come with?" You offer, causing Kaminari to whine.

"You said it was just gonna be us." He complains, pouting like a little kid. "Don't be a jerk. It's just Kirishima."

"Yeah, but then he's probably going to get bored and call up his girlfriend like he always does whenever we hang out outside of school. 'Hey babe' 'I miss you babe' Mwuah Mwuah-"

"I heard that!" Kirishima calls, glaring at the blonde. You roll your eyes, elbowing him in the side.

"Don't be a bitch, Kaminari. We're all gonna hang out, and that's final." Then, you hear another voice. It's Sero, walking over to you. So much for having time alone with you today.

"What's up, guys? You having a party or something?" He greets. "Not yet, we're planning on going to grab something to eat at the shopping center? Wanna join? The more the merrier."

"Sure."

Now here you all are, sitting in a booth at a diner. You and Kaminari sit across from Kirishima and Sero, still joking and messing around while they watch.

Then, Kirishima gets a call from Mina. She must've just gotten home from school. He doesn't want to talk right now, but he knows he has to. So, he excuses himself, walking out to answer the phone call.

"See? What did I tell you? Always going off to talk to his little girlfriend." Kaminari says, making you punch his shoulder and tell him to shut up.

He has a brief five-minute conversation with her before he tells her he has to go, and that he's hanging out with his friends at the diner. He leaves your name out because he doesn't want Mina getting suspicious.

"Hey." Sero greets Kirishima, walking outside and joining him. "It's getting pretty rowdy in there, so, I decided to check up on you. You alright?"

"Yeah, I guess, it's just...(y/n)'s more comfortable with Kaminari, even though I've known her longer. Not that I like her, of course, but I do want to be closer to her." He confesses to Sero.

"I doubt it has anything to do with you, man. I mean, yeah, she's best friends with Kaminari, but I think she likes you just as much. The problem is and don't take this the wrong way,,,Mina. (Y/n)  respects her and your relationship, so she doesn't want to get too close because she wants you and Mina to be happy. But I'm sure if you let her know where your boundaries are the two of you will get along great."

Kirishima smiles at that thought. "You're right, thanks Sero."

"Of course, bro. Now let's get back in there."
