Ever since that night at the club, a lot of things have changed. Kirishima has grown more distant, and so have you with Kaminari. Ever since his drunken confession, you don't know what to say to him, and you don't feel super comfortable with him right now.

Jirou is busy with band practice and other stuff, so the person you've been mainly hanging out with is Bakugo. It's surprising, considering how the two of you have a back and forth relationship, but right now, you find his presence quite comforting.

And here you are, sitting and watching as he practices his hitting, hitting baseballs off the machine that hurls them to him. Thankfully, there's a net protecting you, which will catch any balls going your way.

You sigh softly, looking at your phone, checking for any new texts from Kirishima. There are none, which is really unusual for him. "I don't get it. Normally he'd be texting me back by now."

"Maybe he's just busy." Bakugo replies, hitting another baseball. "Yeah, well, he hasn't been busy until Mina hung out with him. He's probably busy with her now."

"Why does it matter? You jealous or somethin?" He squares his hips and hits another ball. It makes a loud noise as it smacks against the aluminum bat.

"No, why would I be jealous? I'm just frustrated. I mean, he's set boundaries with me before, why can't he just do that now? All he has to do is say something, or even send a text! He can just tell me he wants to spend more time with his girlfriend right now or whatever. Honestly, it feels like he's avoiding me." You vent. "Can I tell you a secret? And you promise you won't tell anyone? Pinky promise?"

"Sure yeah, whatever." He tells you. "Are you listening? No, you have to raise your pinky."

With a frustrated grunt, he turns and pauses the pitching machine, raising his pinky to the net, before taking off his helmet and grabbing his water bottle. "Now, spill."

"Okay, if I'm being honest, I don't think Mina likes me that much. I mean, when we were at the club she was all over Kirishima, and ever since then, he just hasn't been talking to me. I think she told him not to or something." You confess.

"No shit she doesn't like you," Bakugo says, adjusting his gloves. That leaves you confused and upset. You've been nice to her and you haven't acted inappropriately towards Kirishima, (besides that prank, but it's not like you hit on him or anything) so why doesn't she like you? "What do you mean?"

"I mean, look at you. I would be jealous too if my significant other had a best friend as hot as you."

And Bakugo did not mean to say that. Not at loud, at least. Your jaw drops, and you sit up straight, staring at him. "Oh my god. You think I'm hot?"

"No- I was just- I was just saying-" A huge grin crossed your lips, and he knows he's never going to live this down. "Katsuki Bakugo thinks I'm hot. I gotta tell someone this."

You pull out your phone to type out a message to Jirou, but Bakugo comes sprinting over, snatching it from your hands. "Hey, give it back!"

"If you tell anyone this, I'll kill you." He seethes. You're fighting him, trying to grab your phone, grabbing at him and trying to reach for it, but failing due to how long his arms are.

"Ugh, you're so annoying. Fine, I won't tell anyone. But only if you do something for me first." You tell him. "I want you to kiss me."

"What? That's blackmail." He reels back, his cheeks flushing pink. He tries to act reluctant, but deep down, he can feel his heart pounding and his blood rushing at the thought.

"First of all, you teased the shit out of me when we were dancing the other night, and you just called me hot. So I know you're just playing hard to get. But if you don't want to do it, then don't." You shrug.

"Well, if you want me to kiss you, doesn't that mean you think I'm hot too?" He remarks with a smug smirk, making you glare at him. "Okay, here's our deal. I'll kiss you, but only if you say you think I'm hot. Then, we'll be even."

"Fine. I think you're hot. There." You confess, crossing your arms, and refusing to look him in the eyes.

Grinning down at you, he presses you up against the wall, tilting your chin upwards, so you're looking deep into his eyes, and he's leaning closer and closer, and suddenly, the door opens, a group of boys walking in, causing him to pull away.

He practically runs away from you, grabbing his things, and making some brief conversation with the other boys as he walks out. Slinging your bag over your shoulder, you leave in front of him, trying to calm your racing heart.

You can't believe he was about to kiss you. Bakugo was actually going to kiss you. Too bad the moment was ruined.

You still do want to kiss him, but you doubt he feels the same way. So, to save yourself the embarrassment, you'll just act like it's nothing. It's probably for the best, anyways.

"Oi, what the hell? Why'd you run away from me?!" Bakugo calls after you, jogging after you, as you stand in the parking lot, now waiting for your brother to come pick you up.

"I don't know what you're talking about. You're the one who ran first." You remark, grinning at him. "Yeah, but I..Are you mad at me? Do you still want to-"

"No, I'm not mad at you, and it's fine. Let's just forget about it. You're one of the few people I can stand right now, and I don't want to make anything weird. So what do you say, friends?" You offer, raising your hand. He eyes your hand hesitantly and opens his mouth to speak.

Before he can say anything though, your brother pulls up in his car, interrupting you two once again. "Let's go."

"Okay, give me a second." You hiss before turning back to Bakugo, smiling at him. "So, I'll see you later?"

"Yeah, whatever." He shrugs, and you give him a hug and a wave goodbye. Then, you hop into the passenger's seat, driving off into the evening, with Bakugo watching you go.
