Twenty minutes have passed since your encounter with Bakugo, and while you've calmed down, you're not over it. You doubt you will be for a while, but for now, you can distract yourself and watch your friends sing.
"Do you want some?" Kaminari asks, shoving the shot glass towards your face. You push it away, slightly annoyed. "No thanks, I already told you, I don't like drinking."
You're not old enough to drink, but this place doesn't seem to care about that, still serving you anyways. You wonder if that's the reason why they chose it in the first place.
That thought annoys you, considering how Kaminari, Kirishima, and Mina are all athletes, and they're still drinking. They say that just a few shots won't hurt, but you absolutely refuse to drink a drop of it, and Bakugo also says they're being irresponsible, and for once, you agree with him about something.
But Kaminari just calls you and him uptight, while Kirishima and Mina ignore you altogether, too lost in their own world to listen.
Currently, you're sitting in between Bakugo and Kaminari, who's wasted beyond belief, listening to Kirishima sing Just The Way You Are to Mina.
He's a horrible singer, and you, Bakugo, and Kaminari can't help but laugh. Kirishima laughs too, and thank god he's doing this ironically...right?
Once Kirishima finishes his song, Kaminari stumbles on stage, grabbing the microphone, and selecting a song. "This song goes out to my special someone, (y/n)."
Yeah, he's totally plastered.
As he starts to sing, his eyes are completely focused on you, and he's gesturing to you. Everyone's laughing, and you can't help but feel embarrassed, for him and yourself.
But in this jungle you can't run,
Cause what I got for you, I promise is a killer,
You'll be banging on my chest, bang bang, gorilla
Kaminari is dancing now, grinding against the air and making you cringe and hide your face in your hands, laughing to yourself and shaking your head. You pull out your phone and begin recording him. This is just too good.
Ooh yeah, you and me baby making love like gorillas,
You practically die from laughing, growing hysterical, and even crying a little. Thankfully, after some more intense singing and dancing from Kaminari, the song finally ends.
"So, who haven't we heard sing yet? Oooh, Bakugo-"
"No." He almost instantly shuts Kirishima down. "I think (y/n) should sing."
"What? I mean, I guess I could, I don't care. But don't bully me because my voice is shit." You tell them, walking up to the stage and flipping through the songs before you find something you like.
As the song starts, you dance around a bit, giggling awkwardly into the mic. You try not to stare at the others for too long, and focus on the lyrics.
SOS She's in disguise, SOS She's in disguise,
There's a she wolf in disguise,
Coming out, Coming out, Coming Out
You try to focus on the lyrics and ignore how your voice is shaking, and how you can feel your friend's eyes on you, watching you, judging you.
You've always been self-conscious about your voice since you are a loud person, and people tell you that all the time, so you can't help but wonder what they think about your singing. Now, you did do chorus in elementary school, and you do think you had a good voice back then, but it's been a long time, and you've gone through puberty, so, it's different.
