There's a brief transitional period between the seasons, where you can relax and take a small break from your sport. Unfortunately, your brother noticed all the free time you have, and he's been nagging you to get a job to help him out with the bills.

It's annoying, especially considering how he makes more than enough with the job he has. You're not exactly sure what it is, but you just know it's something to do with nerdy stuff and computers, and that he makes bank with it.

The apartment you're living at is pretty nice, after all. And you're starting to get bored with all your newfound free time, so you applied to a few different places.

Today, you're going for an interview. It was a job at one of the movie theaters nearby. You've always thought the movie theaters would be cool to work at, minus the cleaning part with the gross-ass bathrooms and theaters, but you also get free movies and food, so, why not?

Sitting in the car, you fidget anxiously going on your phone to try to hide how nervous you are. Your brother hops into the driver's seat beside you, starting the car.

"Are you nervous?" He asks, noticing how unusually quiet you're being. You pretend not to hear him at first, before finally deciding to answer.

"What? Nervous? Oh, no, I'm fine." You murmur, going on TikTok, and trying to pay attention to whatever video's playing.

You can catch the skeptical expression in the corner of your eye, feeling your dread increase. "It's okay to be nervous, you know. This is a normal thing plenty of people get nervous about. Interviews suck, trust me, I know. But you'll do great."

"Yeah, I know I will." You say, faking confidence. He just shakes his head, snickering, and keeping his eyes on the road.

It only takes a matter of minutes, and you're there, your brother pulling up to the curb. Once the car comes to a complete stop, you unbuckle your seat and step out. "I'll be back in thirty. If you want me to come back earlier then text."

"Okay." You say, shutting the door. "Oi, idiot, wait. You got this."

You grin at your brother, rolling your eyes. It's so gross and sappy when he acts nice, even though you secretly love it. "Thanks."

Taking a deep breath, you walk through the doors. Since it's only three in the afternoon on a weekday, there are not that many people there. The theatre is basically empty, and you walk up to the front, spotting an employee, a blue-haired boy, leaning up against the counter and scrolling through his phone.

"Hi, do you know where the manager is? I'm here for an interview, and I was just wondering if I should just go in or wait here or something." You ask.

The boy looks at you for about a second or two, before he's staring at his feet, struggling with his words. When he does speak in full sentences, it's quiet, and hard for you to hear.

You don't understand why he's struggling so much, you just asked him a normal question. He looks like he's about to cry, and now you feel bad. You didn't mean to overwhelm him, you're just trying to figure out where you're supposed to go.

Then, a rather large blonde man came over, patting the blue-haired boy on the shoulder. "Here kid, why don't you take ten?"

He's more than happy to oblige, nodding and walking off without another word. The older man flashes you a big, friendly grin.

"You must be (y/n). Follow me." So that's the manager. And you're sure you made a great first impression after you almost made one of his employees cry.

"I'm sorry about-" You start, but he raises a hand, waving it off. "Don't worry about it. It wasn't your fault. Tamaki just gets easily overwhelmed. Here, take a seat."

The manager sits down in front of you at his desk, clicking around on his mouse. Now that he's sitting right in front of you, you can get a much closer look at him. You spot his name tag on his chest, which has his name, Taishiro Toyomitsu.

"So, you got to U.A, huh? A good amount of my younger employees go there, so I'm sure you'll get along just fine with the other employees around here." Yeah, sure, as long as you don't make another cry. You think to yourself, mentally cringing.

You manage to keep up as He continues to skim your application and resume, asking you questions about them, and your availability.

"Okay, you got the job." He tells you, after just a few minutes of asking questions. "Wait, really?"

"Uh, yeah. Do you want me to make it more difficult for you?" You shook your head, and he laughed. "I'm just messing with ya. You look like a good kid, hardworking and motivated, I think you'll fit in well here. Why don't you come over on Friday for your training?"

"Sure. Thank you, Mr.Taishiro. I'll see you then." You got to your feet, flashing him a smile, before turning away and walking out.

As you walk down the hall, you briefly celebrated, punching the air, and murmuring to yourself. "Fuck yeah."

You're just about to walk out when you bump into someone. You're halfway through your apology when you recognize them.

"Oh my god, Kirishima? You work here? That's so funny." You exclaim with a smile. He smiles back, seeming nervous, unable to keep eye contact with you. "Hey, (y/n). What are you doing here?"

"Uh, well, I work here now. Is that going to be a problem?" You ask, cocking an eyebrow, and rocking on your heels. Clearly, he's feeling uncomfortable with how he's fidgeting and struggling to keep eye contact with you.

He's acting like you have some sort of disease, or you killed his dog or something. You don't like that, not at all. If he has a problem with you, he should do something about it.

"No, not at all. That's perfectly fine." He says, and he's finally looking you in the eyes. "Really? Because you've kinda been avoiding me for the past week or so, and you haven't even told me why."

"Listen, I want to explain, I do, I just can't right now. But I'll tell you soon, I promise...let's talk tomorrow, at school." He tells you

"Okay, I'll see you then." Is all you say in response, brushing past him, and sighing to yourself.

Kirishima watches as you go, running a hand through his hair. Not only are things more complicated between you two, but you're going to be working with him, too.

It's already been so hard to try to stay away from you, and seeing you outside of school at work is only going to make things harder. Shit, what is he going to do?

"So you like her, huh? How sweet." Mr.Taishiro observes, noticing how distracted his employee is. "Oh no. We're just-"

"Uh-huh, whatever you say. Just get back to work, kiddo. We got customers."
