Grabbing your phone, you check to see if Jirou has texted. She hasn't. It's been a couple of days since you last texted, and you're starting to get concerned. She hasn't been at school either. This isn't like her.

You would be worried this has something to do with Shinsou's disappearance, but then again, he was a shady guy who did a lot of bad things. Who knows what trouble he could've gotten himself into? Maybe he finally messed with the wrong girl.

While it is horrible, a part of you feels thankful, now that you don't have to deal with seeing him around school and knowing what he did to you. Putting your cleats in your bag, you zip them up. Your teammates walk out from the field, not noticing you sitting by the entrance.

"She's so bad. I can't believe she's still on the team." One of them murmurs.

"I know right? And she's so annoying too. She's such a kiss-ass to coach and a slut. I wouldn't be surprised if she's sleeping with him. She slept with Shinsou and got all crazy on him when he didn't want it to get serious, and I'm pretty sure she slept with Bakugou too, and probably Kirishima. But you wanna know what the grossest thing is? She slept with her stepbrother."

That makes you pause, looking over at them. They're talking about you, right in front of your face. Your stomach twists in knots, in embarrassment, humiliation, and rage.

The next thing you know, you're walking over to the girls, feeling your anger get the best of you. "Seriously? I can hear you guys talking shit about me. Do you really have nothing better to do with your life that you have to talk about people and start rumors about things you don't even know about? Things that aren't even true?"

They all stare at you, not saying a word. Some of them look guilty, while others are angry and irritated. You can't talk to them. You can't even look at them.

So, you walk away. But you can't stand at the entrance of the field like you usually do. You can't stay near those girls.

You're walking back to the school, with your phone in hand. You can hardly see anything, due to the tears blearing your vision. You call Jirou up, letting it ring a few times, but she doesn't pick up. You send her a text instead.

You: Hey, u free?

You: I rlly need to talk to you some fucked up shit just happened

You: Jirou please

You: I rlly need to talk to you

You: lmk when you get this

She isn't answering, so you have to find another option. You can't tell your brother, he'll freak out. So, you decide to call Kirishima.

--

The two boys stand in the basement with Jirou, who is chained to the wall. They spent a solid thirty minutes calming her, and she's still furious with them, but at least she's not screaming and crying like she was before.

But then, Jirou's phone starts ringing incessantly and buzzing with notifications. Kirishima uses her face to unlock it, seeing that it's all from you. "It's (y/n)."

"What does she want?" Bakugou asks. Kirishima furrows his brows. "I can't tell. She says something really bad just happened."

"Text her something. Let her know I'm there. Comfort her." Jirou pleads. The boys hesitate, but then, Kirishima's phone rings.

He steps out to answer it, leaving Bakugou and Jirou alone. "I don't get it. Why am I always the last person she wants to talk to?"

--

"Hey, hey, woah, slow down," Kirishima says, trying to understand you between your sobs. "Can- can you please come pick me up? I'm at U.A. and my practice just ended."

"Sure, what happened? Did someone hurt you?" He asks, wanting to hurt whatever bastard that made you so upset and hurt you. But he also felt happy. It's been too long since you relied on him for comfort since he was a shoulder for you to cry on, and he missed it.

When he pulls up, he finds you sitting alone, on a bench. You hop in his car, your face wet with tears, and your breath shaky. "I'm sorry to bother you, it's just, Jirou won't answer my texts and calls and I don't know who to talk to-"

"So I'm your second choice?" Kirishima questions, feeling his jealousy getting the best of him. "No, No, It's not like that, Kiri. This is kind of..more of a girl subject."

He sighs softly. He should be grateful you're even talking to him at all. "What happened?"

"Here, you can drive. I want to get out of here as fast as possible." You murmur, glancing over your shoulder, making sure those girls aren't nearby.

As Kirishima drives off, you explain everything to him, unable to hold back your tears, and you do apologize for being so distant, which he appreciates. All the while, he's listening, holding your hand, while he steers with the other.

"There's- there's a reason why what they said hurts me so bad..not just because of how fucked up it is, but because- you know how I said my stepdad was creepy? Well, he- he touched me..Inappropriately. When I went to my mom about it, she got mad. Called me horrible things..a slut, a whore..so when I hear it..it reminds me of her. My own mother...I know it sounds bad, but I'm glad he's dead, and I'm glad I moved away from her. And I'm glad I don't have to worry about Shinsou, too."

Kirishima stops the car, pulling over to a parking lot, and hugging you, holding you close to him. He comforts you for a long while. and while he feels horrible about what you've gone through, he's happy to hear you say that. You're happy their gone, and you'll be happy when Jirou's gone too. Everything he's done and still doing is all justified.

"I'm so sorry you had to go through that..you didn't deserve it. No one does. You're not any of those things, (y/n). You've done nothing wrong." He reassures you.

There's only one person he knows that would spread rumors about you like that...Mina. He was so focused on the situation with you and Shinsou, and Jirou, that he completely forgot about her, and how vindictive she could be.

"I'm so sorry. You know they're wrong, right? Is there someone you can tell that can do something about this? Like a coach? Or a team captain?" He offers.

"The team captains hardly do anything." You murmur between sniffles. "But, the coach does like me..kinda. I think he'll listen."

"Can you text him? Or talk to him before/after practice? Do you even want to practice and stay on that team? You don't have to." He suggests.

You frown at that, shaking your head. "No, I have to do this. I'm not letting those bitches win. I'll- I'll text him tonight."

"That's the spirit." He grins at you, admiring your determination, one of his favorite things about you. "And I'll be with you, whenever you need it. You want me to watch a practice or a game? I'll be there. Just let me know."

"Thanks, but don't you have baseball?" You ask, to which he shrugs. "I'm sure I can find a way around it."

Kirishima would have you come over to his place for a sleepover, but he currently has someone tied up in his basement. You seem to be doing better anyways, you just needed to let it out. So, he stops at your apartment, dropping you off.

You pull him into a tight hug. "Thank you so much, Kiri. I'm sorry for being a jerk. I don't know what I'd do without you."

"Of course. If you need anything. Anything at all, just let me know." He promises you, pressing a kiss to your forehead and wiping away your tears. You smile at him, before turning away and leaving for your apartment.

As Kirishima watches you leave, his smile fades. He's going to have to deal with Mina. But first, he'll handle Jirou.
